Your biological clock is always active. Since the suprachiasmatic nucleus does not require monamine neurotransmitters to maintain time but other residual neurotransmitters, it is always active. The alternative is that you die when you sleep.
I have been studying psychology for years, yes.. but, not at Harvard.. lol.
