Last night i had a lucid dream and i was trying to think of the advanced task of the month.
for some dumb reason i thought the task was "ask a DC who's dream we are in"
i asked my uncle and he said "we are in the great lady's dream"
i looked around for some woman then i lost lucidity.
Why Cant I ever think about stuff I wanna do in LD's? ...or anything for that matter
is everyone like this?
Look at it this way, atleast you can remember to do something in a lucid dream. I just wake up in a dream and I'm like "Let's go Dragonabll Z", it doesn't even work 100% of the time.
Anyway, just keep practicing the skill of remembering to do stuff in your dream, eventurally you'll see changes.

I also have the same problem, of not thinking clearly, but what I have tried to do before I found this site, was to try to remember what I could do before to do it.
I treat my subconcious like a kindergardener learning how to count, I have to learn little by little how to recall things I know I can do.
well hell lol going DBZ is better than wakening up in a dream..sitting their for like a Minuit thinking on what to do and then just fading out when you decide "hell yeah man im gonna fly" lolQuote:

I believe it is to do with the type of brain waves we have when dreaming. Beta I think are the ones that make us question and reason but we dont have many of them while dreaming.
Because your dream memory and your real memory are stored in completely different places (which is why recall can be difficult for beginners) You could do exercises to make the bridge between your dreaming brain and your real memory better by practicing recalling things from the day in your dream.
Different receptors travel to different parts of the brain and during REM the neurotransmitter is seritonin, which isn't the case for waking life (dopomine I think)

I have no idea why it differs or how to control it. But if you just have enough lucids you should eventually experience ones where your conscious mind works as you'd like it to.
