As I said, Ceonsamea is a traveller, he was born int he world but not in Avalon, so, he is an inhabitant of the world, not a dreamwalker, but also just sort of stumbled upon Avalon, he doesn't exactly 'live' there, but that is where he stays.
I've been reading through the 5 pages of this thread and I was enjoying every moment. (great map maeni!) This is a marvelous idea, because LD's usually dont have any story lines, unless of course you make them up yourself. Anyway, I would like to join up. Here's my char:
Character Bio
Name: Takeda Shingen
Age: mid 20
Appearence: Modern day ninja, much like that guy from the movie ghost dog.

Character skillz: Very stealthy obviously, has a katana and a bow. Has the ability to use magic in ninja style. It's called Kuji-in (Nine Syllable Seals). It's a specialized form of Buddhist meditation (the naruto anime vaguely resembles it, though I'm not a naruto-fan).
History: He's send as a dream walker to Avalon for a top secret mission. His
boss' identity is also secret (even for him). So his first priority is to complete his mission and second to protect the inhabitants of Avalon.
Going further back in time: As a baby he was left for dead on the filthy streets of a urban city. A random family took him in. But at the age of 12 his family was brutally murdered and the killer left a note: See you in your dreams. Shingen went to Japan to learn the ancient way's of the samurai. He wanted to become stronger and better so he could take care of himself. Soon after he joined a training program, he was adopted by the Takeda-clan who saw that this boy was not just a boy, but he had something going on. 10+ years later he was contacted by the boss. He said to Shingen: If you want to find out who killed your family, you must do something for me first.
About me: Im pretty experienced in ld-ing but I never tried anything like this with the story and the scenario-thing. This is gonna be awesome. And about his real parents, that is a sort of side plot for later on.

Appearance: Picture Naruto (Google him) with super saiyan 2 hair (google that too). He always has a black bandanna on with an outline of a red fire-breathing dragon on it. Hes about 170cm and has darkish skin. He also has a dog-tag on and a black loose fitting sweater on with orange shorts hanging a little lower than his knees. He also has sweat bands on his hands.

Weapons: Nothing but ninja stars and shirukens. He is Excellent at hand to hand combat though and has a few spells well not really spells, their called jutsus but anyway... His fighting style is very advanced

Hmm, I just had a dream that can determine our enemies. It's REALLY long, so I'll provide a short[er] version. So I was just chillin' in this place that was a lot like Avalon, and I get word that teens are gettin kidnapped all over by some group, being taken who knows where for who knows what. Then the people actually CAME, and I sacrificed myself so my friend could escape. They took me away from Avalon, in the dead of night during the full moon, into this big castle. I was chained to a pole in the courtyard, where there were hundreds more like them, and was told part of me needed to be sacrificed for a ritual, but not to worry because it was only a dream. I became lucid. I then said,"Fools, do you realize what you've just done?!"
"All too well," was the response, and then the leader somehow drained my dream control powers, and held them up to the moon. The moon glowed really bright, and then silvery sparkelly stuff rained down on everyone, myself included. Then different marks started appearing on the backs of everyone's hands. Mine was a white glowing claw, the same as the leader had. I looked around, and everyone's mark was different. I saw fire, water drops, leaves, and some things I can't describe. The leader then said,"Quick, destroy him, before he dicovers his new potential!" He shot white energy in the shape of a claw (which was the symbol on his hand. Coincidence? I think not.) straight at me, but I turned and the claw cut through my chains like they were peices of thread. With no dream control powers, and being outnumbered 1 to 1,000, I had to run. I eventually came to a room with a bunch of other captured Avalonians. The ritual hadn't affected them. I had no time to free them and had to book it out of there.
Possible storyline forming?
hmmm...can I make my character from Earth but not a Dreamwalker?? lol, my character's heritage is important, and I don't neccessarily want him interested in dreaming too much.
Actually, I'll add a bit on to his history/story so I like it. :P For as long as he can remember, Sahak has had dreams where he helps other people. Because of his life style (stealing, assassin, etc.) he has dismissed and shunned his dreams. Only recently he has wondered if they have any connection to the mark on his back.
Basically, he's a dreamwalker but doesn't know it.
EDIT: Wow Mini Man, that's pretty awesome. I think that would be a great story. What does everyone else think?

Yep, great story. These people (nightstalkers) have powerfull skills too (if they can actually drain your dreamcontrol), that would make some interesting battles.

Maniakal, you're character wouldn't have to know he's a dream walker, even when he's in the dream. He could just be confused as to why he is where he is. The inhabitants dosn't know that it is a dreamscape, and not reality. They think of Avalon like we think of Earth.

It does nae' have to take skill. My objective for a few weeks was to have a rock off with the devil in a lucid dream and eventually it came (in a lucid) on it's own accord! It went well except the devil took the form of Prometheus from Age of Mythology. Well, we're almost there.
Probably isn't common, probably a 1 in a million chance but just expecting something can work wonders in the dream world. In fact much of the dream environment depends on what we expect as the dream character. That's why becoming lucid when you know you're falling into a nightmare makes it about a thousand times worse as I have found out!
This morning I tried to check out Avalon just for fun. But I was interrupted right in the middle of it!
So I was lucid after a WILD or DEILD (cant really remember that part), all I saw was blackness. I imagened my room. Then I jumped out the window to travel to Avalon. I fell in some nasty dark water, could see anything again. Started dreamspinning. I arrived at some place with big city blocs and yellow-like buildings. Right at that moment the phone started ringing and I wake up. And I will never know if that was Avalon or just 'another' city.
Will try again tomorrow.

I've been away far to long (last login the day before this thread started lol). Great idea, count me in for sure. I've read nearly every post so far so i'm up to date.
Here's my char, i'll try to make this brief and concise to try not to slow the process...
Name: Grexxis
History-Explanation: For a while I lived to live outside the constructs of society in my dreams as Grexxis. A name I gave myself to be able to differentiate from the part of myself that is a human construct and the part of myself that has always existed seperately in dreams... so this character will be mostly myself (well, dream-self), but adapted to the story... He is a dreamwalker that has come from medievil ages. EDIT#2: These are the reasons for his (my) appearance, to have no association with humanity. I was considering creating a different char, but decided against because I thought adding an outcast to this world would make it a little more interesting...
Description: Another oddball, he is a 8ft. biped lizard. His face is much like that of my avatar, though without the goofy whisker things on his chin. The horns are pretty accurate, which is surprising because I found the picture (I wish I could draw like that). His coloring is black with sporatic red striping, like blood spilled in shadow. Sharp claws on every digit, and teeth to match. Well built but not overmuscled, with a long powerful tail.
Weapons: A large warhammer, with a pic-axe like projection on the opposite side of the blunt end. Though he chooses to use tooth and claw for fights that require more dexterity.
Personality: A introverted, idealistic misanthropist. Many see him as a violent outcast, though anyone who has really tried to talk to him will know that he is just disgusted with the opressive world and how attatched people are to their standards, morals, and expectations. He would rather live in isolation then be forced to be someone else. Which is how he found Avalon, fleeing his old society in search of something to suit him better.
Can't wait till this really takes off. Should be interesting to see what kind of world we create.

Awesome Grexxis, sorta reminded me of the Argonians (lizard men) from The Elder Scrolls series, but actually cool looking.

Hah, yeah. I wasn't at all expecting the first few Avalon-dreams to be at all following the storyline, just starting off with people trying to line up with the world, then the story, then the characters, and then they would get going. Right now it's basically just on Sandbox, then it will go to Single Player, and in the end, MMDRPG!
And yeah, the first time you peeps find a way in, I'm in no way telling you to stick to the story, just go around, explore and get familiar, then when you feel ready, pop into the character and that's what will be put in the Story.
Anyways, keep at it, if you get any more Avalon related dreams and / or lucid dreams, do post them, even if their off the story and setting, they will be an interesting read anyways xP
Had a lucid last night and tried to find Avalon. It's a shame I have a attention span of a goldfish in my dreams though. I didn't reach Avalon but you can still read it in my DJ.

Hey I had an interesting night, 2 avalon (sort of) dreams, but not lucid. Ok first of all, after the first one I woke up, though "Yeah, getting closer" and wrote it in my DJ. Except that was a FA, the dream had nothing to do with Avalon, I just thought it did in the FA, no idea why.
The second was quite interesting. I found myself in different rooms, one of them had messages written on the floor in blood. I think I was trapped.Then I remember something about some lion that was transforming (?), dont remember much. But after that I was in my house, and there was a red lizard creature (it was Grexxis). It was going to transform(?) so I ran away from it.
Its not very succesful but its the closest I have been and I don't think its too bad for a non-ld. I posted it here because it can't exactly contribute to the story but I wanted to post it anyway.
