Music meditation?
I wasnt really sure where to put this but i discovered something that can be done while listening to music a couple of years ago. I just wondered if it could be used to begin a new kind of WILD or if perhaps someone already knows about it?
What i do is this:
Listen to some music on headphones, preferabbly a long track with a standard band set up, such as Singer, guitar, bass, drums. It seems to work with anything but i found this alot easier, especially untill i got better at it.
I then imagine black in my mind, not hard to do ;), and focus on a single sound, such as the guitar or the singing. Then in my mind when ever the guitar goes off i make a spot light appear in this black, kind of like a spot light on a stage. I then add the other instruments and voices with various lights and colours. After a while i become very relaxed and i find this is a good way to practise focusing on multiple things.
Any one ever heard of anything like this or know of a way it could be turned into some form of WILD?

Yeah I have totally heard of this before, it's called trancing. It is a way to focus your thoughts and make them stay focused for a significant amount of time after listening to the music.

I do something I guess a bit like this when I fall asleep, but I don't actively do it. I think it's synesthesia, but when I'm listening to music I have to follow around the location of the sound. It's hard to explain but like a certain tone will be at a specific location, the next one will be somewhere else. It's never helped me to WILD, but then again I suck at WILDing. I do this every night when I listen to music though and it's pretty relaxing. If you worked at it yea, you could probably use it to relax yourself, just don't get too relaxed
