Someone who wants to learn guitar could do finger strengthening excersises, meditate about guitar, listen to a lot of guitar music, tell themselves that they are going to be a sweet insane guitar player. However none of this would ever make that person a good guitar player. Now I know that analogy is a tad different as it involves a physical action, but I think you get the point.
It all depends on what you mean by "studying lucid dreaming" I guess. You could take vitimins, eat special dream foods, binaural beats, meditation cds, hypnosis audio tracks, etc, and never have a lucid dream. I'm curious to know what you have studied as far as lucid dreaming goes. If you've been doing all of this for a month with no success, then you have answered your own question. This forum is full of all sorts of useful information, tutorials, and explanations of different levels of consciousness that will help you much more than all that stuff will.
Tools are useless without knowledge of how to use them ;)
