Rhythmic Napping
So I've been using the rhythmic timer suggested by the Salt Cube video and I really like it. I've had one lucid dream out of probably 5-6 tries which I think is pretty good. But thats not my question. I usually enter sleep paralysis before the first timer goes off but when the first alarm (or anyone thereafter) wakes me up, its a startled awakening and i get this rush of tingling feeling spread throughout my whole body starting from my neck-ish area and jolts through my body really quickly. I wonder if anyone else has gotten this feeling/ if this feeling is part of the sleep paralysis the body uses to keep the body still (like a wave of adrenaline sent through your body but sleep paralysis (if you can kinda get what I mean by this..)) because I can't move anything when I'm startled awake. It happens really quickly then kind of lingers in my extremities for a few more seconds. Anyone have any suggestions as to what it is? Thanks!

It sounds like exactly what you said it is, a quick surge of adrenaline because you're basically being shocked awake and in that shock you don't exit SP because it's such a quick transition from sleeping to being fully awake.

But wouldn't adrenaline cause me to suddenly jerk or make some kind of rapid movement? and you're also saying that this feeling is the feeling of adrenaline being shot through my bloodstream? So I can feel a hormone entering my blood stream and spreading throughout my body? Thats pretty crazy

Sorry I don't know the answer to your question, but just thought I'd add that physically feeling a hormone spreading through your body is impossible. The effect has to be psychological.

Not neccessarily, your nerves react to adrenaline, which flows through the blood. Although you wouldn't feel the hormone itself you'd feel it's effect one each part of your body as it flows through.
