You have to stay in your lucid dream until the time is up. You can't wake up prematurely. Keep in mind if you chose the longer options, how mixed up you'll be when you finally wake up to reality. (you can't do whatever you want)
I'd choose "9999999 years" if there was such an option
If my whole life was an LD?
Not one of my poll options but that is another good question. If you could die today, and live the rest of your would be life as an Lucid Dream. Would you? I wouldn't but I bet a lot of people here would.Quote:

I've had a lucid dream that felt like a few hours long and in real time it wasn't that long.
Unfortunately, Mario, my experiment was a complete failure due to lack of support, and the camera I was using didn't have night vision. However, Dr. Stephen LeBerge performed this experiment and found that dream time and real time are nearly identical. I've once had an LD that consisted of several "mini days" if you will- during this dream I lost and regained lucidity like 3 times- it wasn't that the days were long in the conventional sense, but the way my consiousness kept transferring from lucidity to nonlucidity and back to lucidity as stuff happened made it seem very complicated/confusing, it's very hard to explain but it was a total trip. Again, the dream itself was still <10 mins for sure, but the way my consiousness "changed" over it was worth several days I woke up and just basked in the awesomeness for like half an hour cause it was so awesome.Quote:

I chose a day. Part of the reason why is because too long might spoil the dream. I do believe it's possible to get bored in a lucid dream. This didn't happen to me yet because my longest one was only 6 or 7 minutes.Quote:

i chose a month. That would give me a long enough time to learn to practice dream control, talk to a few DCs and it would be an awesome long vacation. :) i could use one of those right about now.
but i would choose quantity over quality if that were an option. I would choose 30 1 day LDs over 1 30 day LD. Mainly so i could get used to obtaining lucidity. I would work on quality once i have that down.
I chose one month. If there was a lifetime option I'd pick that. There's a lot of things that I haven't been able to do in normal dreams which I would probably get the opportunity to do if they felt/were longer. I would also be able to practice dream control more,I need all the help I can get.
I picked a day LD, because it would give me just enough time to do the things I've always wanted to LD about, and do. Also it won't completely screw me up for when I awake, and I'll most likely have some sweet stories to tell from my dream journal right after the dream.
The trick would be to write down all the important stuff in your dream journal before you lose your information from your head.
An hour, enough time to play with Nerimeno, of course, I would have to remember the task and not start fighting myself over what to do lol
And anything beyond that gives me headaches <.<
i would choose a week, not too little, not too much, then i would work my way up to a month ;)

I think that is a trick question to test our self how much we ready and how much we're willing to learn and gain self dream control.. I don't think that it means if you spend a month in a LD you'll be in a coma for a month and no active in wake state.. I choose one month in a DREAM TIME.
The question is: "If you could chose how long you want your lucid dream to be TONIGHT?"
but not "How long you want to be in a coma dreaming lucid dream?"
I voted for one hour, because i could get a lot done in just one hour without wasting any waking time...and i could have some more luck the next night. I also love feeling great for the whole day after waking from a LD.
I picked one month. As long as it is just an average night in the waking world.
I'm surprised that two people (so far) didn't want a lucid dream at all. I really put that there just so there would be more options.
To these two people, that is cool but why are you on this forum if you are not interested?
