      If you could chose how long you want your lucid dream to be tonight

      If you could chose how long you want your lucid dream to be tonight, out of these options.
      * Don't have one at all
      * 20 minutes
      * 1 hour
      * 1 day
      * 1 week
      * 1 month

      You have to stay in your lucid dream until the time is up. You can't wake up prematurely. Keep in mind if you chose the longer options, how mixed up you'll be when you finally wake up to reality. (you can't do whatever you want)

      If my whole life was an LD?
      We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
      some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

      Not one of my poll options but that is another good question. If you could die today, and live the rest of your would be life as an Lucid Dream. Would you? I wouldn't but I bet a lot of people here would.

      1 hour...technically, I'd prefer an 8-hour lucid, but one day is too long-I need my food! Food is good...

      One hour in sleep time doesnt need to be one hour in waking time. So I would really like to experience a life time in dream time.

      Technically, they've shown that dream time is virtually equivalent to real time. You could manipulate dream time to appear to speed up, but in general, the two are roughly equal.

      1 week.

      It gives me enough time to get good dream control, yet let's me be able to easily go back to WL.

      to clarify this it wouldn't actually be this long. Dream time is different from real time. This would all be in 1 night.

      I've had a lucid dream that felt like a few hours long and in real time it wasn't that long.

      Unfortunately, Mario, my experiment was a complete failure due to lack of support, and the camera I was using didn't have night vision. However, Dr. Stephen LeBerge performed this experiment and found that dream time and real time are nearly identical. I don't recall exactly, and I'm too lazy to check, but I think it was 10 real seconds = 9.3 dream seconds. It said so in Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming.

      I've once had an LD that consisted of several "mini days" if you will- during this dream I lost and regained lucidity like 3 times- it wasn't that the days were long in the conventional sense, but the way my consiousness kept transferring from lucidity to nonlucidity and back to lucidity as stuff happened made it seem very complicated/confusing, it's very hard to explain but it was a total trip. Again, the dream itself was still <10 mins for sure, but the way my consiousness "changed" over it was worth several days I woke up and just basked in the awesomeness for like half an hour cause it was so awesome.

      Pretty much the same thing happened to me once. During my last lucid phase of the dream, it felt like I was dreaming for hours. I woke up thinking it was actually shorter then that, probably because I lost some of the dream recall.

      Sorry, that came out wrong. x3 I meant I'd like my whole life to be a lucid dream. It'd sure making medical school a heck of a lot easier.

      I'd say an hour, I don't want to have all the fun in a LD and not know what to do in another, I want to have a long one, but not too long as not spoil it...ya know? This would be VERY long in my opinion. Though many people would disagree with me.
      If you see a strange typo in my post, blame my iPad for that.

      I chose a day. Part of the reason why is because too long might spoil the dream. I do believe it's possible to get bored in a lucid dream. This didn't happen to me yet because my longest one was only 6 or 7 minutes.

      How on earth could you get bored in a lucid dream? You're omnipotent, man! Even if you finish everything you've ever wanted to do, you could still start experimenting with all kinds of other stuff.

      Also, who's the guy that said no LD at all?

      i chose a month. That would give me a long enough time to learn to practice dream control, talk to a few DCs and it would be an awesome long vacation. i could use one of those right about now.

      but i would choose quantity over quality if that were an option. I would choose 30 1 day LDs over 1 30 day LD. Mainly so i could get used to obtaining lucidity. I would work on quality once i have that down.

      I chose one month. If there was a lifetime option I'd pick that. There's a lot of things that I haven't been able to do in normal dreams which I would probably get the opportunity to do if they felt/were longer. I would also be able to practice dream control more,I need all the help I can get.
      Lucid dreaming makes for a wonderful night's play.

      I picked a day LD, because it would give me just enough time to do the things I've always wanted to LD about, and do. Also it won't completely screw me up for when I awake, and I'll most likely have some sweet stories to tell from my dream journal right after the dream.

      The trick would be to write down all the important stuff in your dream journal before you lose your information from your head.
