OK, ever had something involving LD's that you've ever wanted to say, but didn't think it was big enough to start a new thread for? WELL, then, this is your thread. Post anything you'd like to share about your LD's, or anything of the like.

I wanted to just say that I know a girl from school, as of today that has MOSTLY only LD's. She told me, and my eyes were all wide, mouth open partially, and, basically, I looked odd. I didn't have time to tell her anything yet about my situation (I LD a lot and love to do it...), so she was probably not getting why I was lookin like that :P. It's AMAZING to know someone that has them a lot! She says that she can't control them, though (like she knows that you CAN :shock:). She also shared a few dreams with me, so I am SO tellin her a bunch of things about LDing tomorrow, now it's "safe".

I could've made a thread about this, but I KNOW there were MANY threads about this before, I just couldn't find one :P. Even through searching I couldn't find one :P. Maybe I'm just bad at searching, though I do know how to do it. Oh well, legit loophole.

I've just been wondering, if you do several sets of like three RC's (more specifically The nose RC, the Finger RC, and the finger through palm RC) a day how often will you have a DILD...?

It's random, the amount of times your lucids won't depend on how many RC's you do, they just HELP with the POSSIBILITY of having a lucid. It could be lots, it could be little. There isn't a set number for that.

Impossible to say. It all depends on the person. Keep in mind that the idea of a RC is not mainly to perform a mindless action (such as pinching your nose), but to question your surroundings.

I can't stress this enough. Do people even read the RC tutorial?

Starvation makes your dream cool and vivid (and increases chances of lucidity).

That's a good start, but how long it takes to learn and how many LD's you get, and of what quality, vary far too much from person to person. I don't believe an approximation or an accurate guess to the average could be obtained, either. Everyone has certain methods that work great for them, and some not at all. I know people who have multiple LD's per night, using, at least in part, RC's; some have only a lucid a month, if that.

Most of my LD's involve little dream control. I usually only realise I'm dreaming, and I can change minor things that affect the plot. Once, in recent memory, did I get the chance to break off and explore flight and telekinesis. This is part of why it's so damn hard for me to complete the tasks of the month =/

Also... I've come to hate reality checks with a passion, lol. I know what they are and how to do them, but they (so far) have a 100% fail rate when I'm dreaming.

I didn't know about RC's before DV. I always had DILDs from becoming aware of things when dreaming. So... I'm building on that now.

I told her about it today :D. And she was all "dreams are awesome". It's so creepy how alike we are...One person today even "asked" us if we're related :P. So, yeah, I can see me talkin with her about dreams again. I told her she should check out stuff on LDing (after I told her that's what it's called) and she seemed hesitant, but IDK, sayin "dreams are awesome" is good enough for me.

Ladies and Gentlespoons, I'm tackling LDing with renouned vigor! I have more powerful subliminals than ever, and I'm gonna concentrate on my VILD, as well as work on dream incubation. :D

When i was first starting out lucid dreaming i had tried to kiss a girl in a dream and her bottom half fell off on the floor and turned to wax, now it happens in all my dreams when i go up to a women.

Well, my lucids are real short right now. I know it's been said that changing your environment isn't exactly the easiest thing to do, and can cause destabilization, but it's easycake for me, I don't bat an eye when I turn around and change everything around me in one quick motion. Is that normal to be able to do?

Okay, does eating food that has vitamin B6, or stuff like that IN a dream makes it more vivid ?

Well, you probably don't want to hear that it's your willpower that'll make it happen, but that's the simple truth; if you, while in a dream, believe that taking something while improve the dream's clarity, then that's what's going to happen, if you expect it to happen. Me, I've got so much control with my own words, I don't rely on anything but my words, my wishes, and my body in lucid dreams to control what I want to control. Granted, my lucids are always rather short, I've never had trouble with getting something to happen when I just wished it to happen. I just willfully believe it'll happen, and sure enough, I just changed the environment, or made the Portal gun appear. :)

In this case, I'd rephrase your question into whether or not you want to make your dream self rely on a substance or some object's existence/presence to help control your lucid dreams and make them more vivid? I believe that I just have to say I want my dream to be clear and vivid, and it happens.

Ugh...I wish that I am able to fall asleep EVERY weekend day! But NO, my body is too used to waking up at 6, so it's like "I'm doin you a favor for letting you sleep in two hours later". "Um, not really, because I'm also going to bed an hour and a half later too!"

I want more dreams, and a higher chance to get one of my morning lucids, which is what most of them are! And, that involves going back to sleep on a weekend day!

Being on-topic, Nerimeno is a dragon I found by breaking several seals in different planets that were guarded by weird beings, yay Nerimeno!

this morning in a non-lucid i made out with a gorgeous young blonde with golden ringlets. i'd like to LD and meet up with her again - soon. We really had some chemistry!

Well, I was wondering, I looked on the lucid aids thing for the audio stuff and I saw that there was three different version of the Lucid Dreaming audio thing by Ninja(insert some numbers...).

I was just wondering.. Which is the most effective in the terms of Lucid Dream rate...?

Or does it relate to the person's mind (like almost everything else :imslow: )

I would try to pick whichever version looks like is newest? I haven't really looked at those aids myself, but I did read about the research he put into them... it seemed to me that each newer version was an improvement upon the other (as is usually the case).

I'm not sure how they have worked out for people. Perhaps the creator of the files would be the best person to ask for this :)

I never thought about this but I remember some dreams like 4-7 years ago, like when I was 7 years old or something like that (Don't really remember I only know it was long time ago)

I had a dream (that I remember barely) where I was on my mother's room and the room had like a hole or something and I don't really remember what I said exactly but it was something along the lines of "Mom, did you know that I'm dreaming" and then she told me some stuff like "really?" and I kept talking to her that this was a dream.

I remember I had a couple of those dreams where I said to the DCs that I was dreaming..

I don't really remember clearly, but I don't think it was a Lucid dream, but somewhere in my mind it tells me that I wanted to say that on the dream. (As I said it was like 7 years ago I can't remember clearly)

I see that people say that if you know it's a dream, then it's 100% a lucid dream..What do you say?

It's tricky and simple all at the same time. Erm, like I've had DC's tell me I'm dreaming, or I'll talk about dreaming, but I don't actually realise that I'm dreaming at that moment.

But all you need to consider a dream lucid is to be aware that you are dreaming. You'll know when you're lucid. It feels different. It's kind of like a light bulb that clicks on, and it's like, "Ohhh... this is a dream!"

A common misconception is that lucidity and control go together. Which is untrue. Lucidity is just being aware that you're dreaming. Oftentimes, that's all I ever get. I don't usually have a lot of control when I'm lucid. I get "stuck in a plot." For the most part, I'm okay with that, but it DOES ruin my opportunities to complete the task of the month, or task of the year :)

Since I use my pockets so much, and always have a running inventory list in my mind about what's in those pockets, the method of having an object materialize in my pocket didn't work out the other morning. I tried pulling out a wand from my coat pocket, but since I only ever put my cell phone in that pocket, and that's only sometimes, I didn't actually pull anything out of my pocket.

What I'm going to do is keep a few key objects in my pockets for the sole purpose of having in the lucid dreams I have. I know that I have pulled out my knife from my left pants pocket in a lucid dream before, because I knew it was there - good thing I had it too, or I would've lost that knifefight. ;) My first object needs to be an activation switch of some sort, so that if I ever get the chance to detonate an explosive in a dream, it'll work by using said switch. (I'd do something with my phone to act as that switch, but oftentimes in my dreams my phone does odd things that I can't explain, making the phone unreliable to an extent.)

OMG, a bit ago, I had 3 LD's in a row, as in one a day for 3 days! AWE-SOME!

Guys, what was the most amount of LD's you've had in a row, as in at least one a day for how many days?
Not including you naturals, here :P

2. :P Two DEILDS in a row. Then I missed a day, and napped twice in the day to try to keep my ministreak going, but didn't get lucid.

If bad days where you get waken up every 2mins or so... around 17? If not, around 13 while sleeping for like 10-11hours straight lol
And no, I'm not a natural...

I somehow had two lucids in the last 3 days. :biggrin:

Same here. 3 Lucids in three nights. Can't wait for the fourth.

OMG, the one friend that I share my dreams with EVERY day, lucids included, she knows that I love dreams and all, had a LD on Saturday :D! She said she thinks it's because she remembers me talkin to her about them in her dream, and became lucid! She wanted to fly, but instead changed into a WOLF TO SCARE OFF SOME ANIMALS! OMG, OMG, OMG! :D :D :D. I influenced her "dreaming experience"! She even says that she normally can't fly or control her dreams, but she could this time, and not even I have ever shapeshifted (I have tried for a TOTM before, and failed. More then once!). She said she would be mad if it didn't work, BUT IT DID :D!

Anyone ever ASSUME they can't fly, so don't?

I do :P. It's quite annoying....Instead of fighting it, I try to find an alternative solution! But, I usually can control the dream in any other way if I want :P.

Does anyone know how to switch to third person in a LD. I probably could figure it out, but I wanna hear what you guys have to say.

Alternately, load the Lucid Dream Control Panel and mess around with the camera settings.

After 75 days in the 90 Days WILD Project, my first WILD ironically lasted only a few short seconds. XD

Nop, I'm sure it wasn't that, especially since I was planning on letting the dragon live and it was sealed, there is no way he could have known of my weird eating habits! I think...

I'm sure news of your eating habits has made its way around your dream world. Especially if you left witnesses.

^ Lol,also, WAlms, you say your not a natural. Do you MILD? I'm really curious about alot of you frequenters.

Also, at luciddreamsavy, try going through a portal and when you turn around (expect to) see yourself facing the opposite direction, now walk forward as if you are that guy. Or just get behind a DC (at 3rd person view level) and move forward (and expect them to) and it'll soon be as if your controlling them. If you want it to be you, they should slowly morph over time.

A tip for all people have troucle with dream control, wear a pipboy (Wrist computer) in your dreams and try inputting voice commands. I.e. enable antigravity on self :D

I don't MILD, I only DILD through RCs, being like that for a long time now, since I had to develop the technique on my own (Had no idea there was a name to it), never tried anything else until DV, but find that WILD/DEILD just gives me worse dreams than DILD.

I seem to be more prone to sleep paralysis when I sleep in an unfamiliar environment. I tend to wake up through the night, and often fall into SP.
I'm staying at someone elses house tonight and sleeping on the couch... Hopefully I can get to sleep paralysis and become lucid from it...

Yeah, there was a new kid at our school and after talking to him about how awesome it was gonna be when I can do whatever I want and know when I dream fairly often, he was like "Yeah I do that everyone." At first I thought he was FOS, but he might be onto something haha..

Downside, he's annoying, and I dunno if his interest in Lucid Dreams will make up for it. He's nice, but annoying.

Failed a DEILD this morning. First time I've failed that attempt. XD I went out of one dream and into another one. But didn't stay conscious.

I don't really know what Sleep Paralysis feels like exactly, I've noticed.. The first time I felt anything I would attribute it to was after a wave of electric energy seemed to tingle through my body, and not wanting to risk awakening, I didn't move. But how would I know that was the SP stage if I didn't try to move?

The other night was a similar story, but willing to pass up my WILD attempt to break the SP I might of had to indeed TEST if it was SP, I moved with little resistance. I again had a wave of electric energy pass over my body that made me feel heavy, but I could pretty much still move. When does SP fully set in, or how do you know?

For me (don't know why), while WILDing, if I add in an emotion (fear, sadness, ect) for some reason, it makes SP happen faster. I.e One night, I had watched a horror movie right before bed, which lead to being scared (during the WILD) and caused it to happen faster.

I notice that sometimes my dreams transform into games I've played. Like they take up a similar style. I was having a seriously epic "fight off the aliens" dream and it kind've got spoilt by a few factors of a game I've being playing, being thrown in.

First of all...I had a weird LD last night. Not super long, read the first half if you want, the non lucid part...

And, my friend that I'm tellin LDing about had ANOTHER LD last night :D! It's all thanks to me just telling her about them :lol:. She said that there was this bad dude, so she said aloud that she wanted him good, and zapped him, and he turned into an angel! Then, listening to my flying advice I told her a week or so ago, she started asking DC's how to fly, many of them, since it's usually hard for her. She does, and they all start jumpin off of benches...it doesn't work :P. She is makin progress, though, and she's gonna try my other way to fly...to find a ladder, climb up it, fall, then fly!

My last few lucids feature me wondering if I can feel my physical sleeping body while lucid. That's messed me up pretty bad, and I'm afraid it'll start becoming a thing that I do without meaning for it to happen - so far it's only occurred due to curiosity. :?

I did not know if my question was thread worthy so i just put it here. I really want to master "VILD". And also, i know that most lding techniques can be mixed and matched to fit individual needs. So would it be possible to mix FILD and VILD? Both are variations of WILD, but are they so different that they couldn't be mixed. In FILD, your supposed to wait until you're about to fall asleep and then move you fingers. After that ,you do an rc, if you get to an ld, then yay! But if you fail, you try again or just go to sleep. The transition in FILD is so unnoticeable that it is often hard to catch. The transition from waking to being in the dream can be so smooth that you can be in the ld and not even know until you do an rc. With VILD, you have to visualize your desired dream destination, and watch it form around you. In VILD, the transition is very clear and noticeable. So would it be possible to use some hybrid of these 2 techniques? Or are they too opposite one another?

Ah, I was gone for 2 months, and it took me just 3 days to get another lucid! 15 lucids a month, here I come :D.

Here's a question: why do all of my DILDs (bout 10 so far) always turn into a false awakeing! Why do I not stay in the dream?

Probably because you aren't stabilizing properly.

Oh, and let's see if I can break my monthly record. All I need is one or two good strings to put me over the mark. ^.^

Why do you have to stabilize a lucid dream but not a normal dream? Sure your conscious and all but couldn't you just run around like you would in a normal dream?
Because I'm having SERIOUS trouble stabilizing. (Yea it had to be caps)

Because in a non-lucid dream you don't have to deal with conscious thought. Not surprisingly, conscious thought takes focus away from the dream environment, and if you lose sight of what's happening around you, well. . . you really will lose sight of it. This probably makes you think you're waking up, and, building from that, your dream runs with the idea and "restarts" with you back in your bed.

May I ask, what methods of stabilization have you used in the past, and how would you rate their effectiveness?

Well when I usually become lucid I try to relax and focus.
I've used rubbing hands (didn't know that was to prevent waking), examining the dream environment, and verbal commands which didn't work out so well. I'm yet to try actually "anchoring" myself to the dream. Examining dream environment probably worked best for me (but still not enough.)

But the reason I ask is because as long as you get engaged in the dream and focus on it won't that somewhat stabilize it?

Any good RC's you reccomend, Savy?

Well, I use the watch one (when I did RC's), since I wear one all of the time. If it isn't on, then surely it's a dream :lol:. Do you have glasses by chance? Well, I would suggest...the finger through the hand RC.

Those methods are only going to get you so far. You need to engage every single one of your senses if you want maximum stability.

As far as getting involved in the dream is concerned, it doesn't really matter how active you are if you spend all that time internally. There's a balance you have to find between focusing on the dream world, thinking about what's going on, and choosing what you want to do next. In non-lucids, you have the luxury of not needing to make those decisions or even pay attention to what's happening.

Essentially.

The Nose Pinch RC has always been good at giving me that extra boost of lucidity when I need it. Mostly because of the truly unique sensation it offers.
