Both brain waves mean you're awake. But which would make it easier to become Lucid do you think? Or what's the difference besides Beta happens in REM (dreams) and paralyzes you? Alpha is awake but relaxed.
Beta is almost like walking around daily and in REM, and Alpha is awake but relaxed (but Beta might be easier for WILD, WBTB, etc techniques???)
I thought you got theta waves during REM and not beta. Beta is being most awake isn't it? Well anyway the best transition into theta stages and dreaming is from alpha i.e. from being relaxed. Beta doesn't paralyze you because you emit beta when you are moving about during the day. I think brainwave frequencies change gradually rather than a sudden change from beta to theta. If you went from beta to theta you would need to go from beta to alpha and alpha to theta..
