I thought you got theta waves during REM and not beta. Beta is being most awake isn't it? Well anyway the best transition into theta stages and dreaming is from alpha i.e. from being relaxed. Beta doesn't paralyze you because you emit beta when you are moving about during the day. I think brainwave frequencies change gradually rather than a sudden change from beta to theta. If you went from beta to theta you would need to go from beta to alpha and alpha to theta.. |
