It is recommended that you keep your existing file.

The Setup File was compiled in windows 98 for better computability, XP users may get the above message
Always keep your Files don't overwrite

Don't know why that is Daniel could be an XP issue, I have not tried this on my XP machine since using a different timing method for the flash, works OK on my 98 machine I'll try it on my XP machine over the weekend I can make a work around if necessary that will use the new method only for times less than 1 second and the old method for the other times

Any other XP users got the same problem ?


Smurf - yes it's a VB6 Setup File with all the necessary files , I may release the source code once it's out the beta stages though it's all straight forward stuff, just a lot of timers and Multi Media controls etc..

would those who try the software please report back with this info

what operating system are you using ?
Did it install OK ?
Does it run OK ?

it's ability to bring on LD's and ways to improve it will be discussed once I know the program actually installs and runs OK

Ok I Guess I'm the first one to actually try this thing when sleeping.

Heres my setup: Windows XP pro. on a laptop right next to me on my bed. The software is working fine and loaded fine. I had all the timers set to how I wanted them, but I only used the 6hz bineral beat with the flashing screen as I fell asleep. I haven't used the other timers yet because theres other people in the room and I didn't feel like keeping headphones on all night.

Heres the result after listening to the beat and seeing the flashing screen under my eyes. As I laid there I felt just as relaxed as I always do, but the flashing light and sound gave my mind something to concentrate on and it felt kind of cool as well. I started to fall asleep and then I noticed these thoughts run rampid through my mind and I realized I was slipping into sleep... Then i would snap back to the sound and light as soon as i realized this.

This happened several times, and I believe that part (ENTER BUTTON) would be best used to help you fall asleep (maybe consciously -WILD) if you practice a couple of times. Set it for say 15min. Then have the other timers come on later in the night.

Software Issues: The only problem I have with the software thus far is the fact that you can't minimize it, without an error. The fact that you can't change the timer numbers by inputing them through the keyboard (you scroll) and the biggest problem I have with it is that when the bineral beat repeats there is a pause/interruption as it reloads the .wav file. - that makes it hard to concentrate. Maybe you could blend that better?

I'll try to try this full on tonight with all the left timers being heard. So far it looks promising, I've been looking for something that I could easily concentrate on as I fall asleep and the flashing light mixed with the bineral beat helps tremendously. I'm sure too the alarms that go off when you dreaming, would theoretically be helpfull if you hear them in the dream effectively.

P.S. I was using Version 1.05Beta, which is 4.23 MB. If you want the file make sure your e-mail can recieve that big of a file. I can now also send you the file, send me an e-mail if you can't recieve it from Stef Page for whatever reason.

I know about the wav looping problem i just haven't had enough time to look in to it fully yet, though it is one of the top bugs to fix

The minimise problem is an easy one just a silly bug

Once i find a way to make the loop smooth i'll release 1.06b

Hey cynicalbob, i tried sending you the older version (don't have the new one yet) and some others with gmail, and google simply rejected the file. You might want to check that out. The file is only 4.3mb.

and for some bizare reason it's not adding the .exe on the end of the file so you may have to rename the file and add .exe to the end of it

Thanks for the file Page, I got it via e-mail. Version 1.07b has loaded perfectly and is working fine on my desktop computer which is windows xp pro, all the problems and bugs are fixed from the previous version. I'll let you know if I find any more bugs or things we might add to it. Thanks again,

ok well last night was kinda bad. for a start my pc is a full blown beast with like way to many fans an even with them turned down its hard to sleep to tell the truth it gives me a headache so, this test it lightly woke me up but the fans fully brought me around I could notice the noise after I heard the mp3 play which was good an bad. I cant get the webspace working for some random reason but when it up ill post a link. GG net. I was reading bout the mp3 idea you posted in another thread I might try that as I cant use my PC cause of the noise it makes unless I get a small quite laptop going on. will keep you posted as I will trying this or something else to induce Lucid dreaming.
