Apple juice and taking vitamin B6 before bed can help create more vivid dreams, which you are more likely to remember in the morning. From personal experience, eating lots of junk food and pop before bed can either produce nightmares, or again fairly vivid dreams.
Watching a certain movie or show can definitely have an effect on what you dream about, at least for me. I was watching a show that involved guns, crystal meth, and drug lords the other day (called Breaking Bad), and I dreamed that I was running from the police and carrying a bag of narcotics. This has also happened quite a few other times.
okay thank you:D
....what about vitamin water because they have the one that helps you with your memory...what if you drank that before going to bed....im having alot of random thoughts lately haha
Blueberries, Blueberry Juice, Fish Oil Supplements - I take all of these.
I also eat things like lamb, salmon, and fruits a lot. I find that many of these things contain essential fatty acids and vitamins that will promote Brain Memory and Brain Health, therefore positively affecting your dreams.
Marlowe's suggestions are also good.
Vitamin water (such as glaceau products) doesn't have as many vitamins as people think. If you look on the label, there's only a small amount of each. It'd be easier to eat an apple or another food item that has the same vitamins as the water you're after, except it'll have more of what you want in it.
well i dont have a problem with that because I dont like the taste anyways:tongue:
But besides eating foods that promote good memory(and thats all very helpful thank you to all above) Are there any foods or anything that can make you do a certain thing in your dream? For example flying dreams, super powers, ect...
Well, if you're lucid you can do anything you want if you expect it to happen. I don't believe eating foods will cause you to do a certain thing in regular dreams.
okay thanks for the help!
Agreed with Puffin.
If you want to do a particular task in a lucid dream, just set your mind to it, relax, and perform!
I suggest using Passive Force to do this, as it won't inhibit the quality of your LD and will make the plot of your dream more interesting.
Interesting, I read about the vitamins B2, B3 (apple juice) && B6, found nothing related to memory though. Is this personal experience? Thanks :) I'll try it today
Don't mean to hijack the thread but... i eat at night a lot and im wondering if it helps to go to bed on a full stomach?
If your stomach's moving around because it's uncomfortably full, it might hinder your ability to fall asleep quickly. And besides, it's a pain in the ass to listen to your stomach grumbling all night long. From what I've heard, it's better to have a stomach that's half full, from eating something light before bed or not eating a few hours before.
Well I don't see me being uncomfortably full, just its become a habit to eat before bed and i usually feel better. I'm just wondering if eating before bed might... oh idk what i was thinking. But i guess since it makes me comfortable then it's a good thing...?
Yeah, if it's not bothering you I don't see why it's a problem.
I think it would help you go to bed if you ear but not to much be aus the body takes energy to digest the food.
