      Red face What about food....

Hey! I was wondering if different foods you eat right before you go to bed or different things your do (reading books, running, watching a certain show, ect.) can effect what you dream about?

Apple juice and taking vitamin B6 before bed can help create more vivid dreams, which you are more likely to remember in the morning. From personal experience, eating lots of junk food and pop before bed can either produce nightmares, or again fairly vivid dreams.

Watching a certain movie or show can definitely have an effect on what you dream about, at least for me. I was watching a show that involved guns, crystal meth, and drug lords the other day (called Breaking Bad), and I dreamed that I was running from the police and carrying a bag of narcotics. This has also happened quite a few other times.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Blueberries, Blueberry Juice, Fish Oil Supplements - I take all of these.
I also eat things like lamb, salmon, and fruits a lot. I find that many of these things contain essential fatty acids and vitamins that will promote Brain Memory and Brain Health, therefore positively affecting your dreams.

      Marlowe's suggestions are also good.

Vitamin water (such as glaceau products) doesn't have as many vitamins as people think. If you look on the label, there's only a small amount of each. It'd be easier to eat an apple or another food item that has the same vitamins as the water you're after, except it'll have more of what you want in it.

well i dont have a problem with that because I dont like the taste anyways
But besides eating foods that promote good memory(and thats all very helpful thank you to all above) Are there any foods or anything that can make you do a certain thing in your dream? For example flying dreams, super powers, ect...

Well, if you're lucid you can do anything you want if you expect it to happen. I don't believe eating foods will cause you to do a certain thing in regular dreams.

      Agreed with Puffin.

If you want to do a particular task in a lucid dream, just set your mind to it, relax, and perform!
I suggest using Passive Force to do this, as it won't inhibit the quality of your LD and will make the plot of your dream more interesting.

Interesting, I read about the vitamins B2, B3 (apple juice) && B6, found nothing related to memory though. Is this personal experience? Thanks I'll try it today

If your stomach's moving around because it's uncomfortably full, it might hinder your ability to fall asleep quickly. And besides, it's a pain in the ass to listen to your stomach grumbling all night long. From what I've heard, it's better to have a stomach that's half full, from eating something light before bed or not eating a few hours before.

Yeah, if it's not bothering you I don't see why it's a problem.
