Greetings, Fellow Dreamers
Hello. I guess I'll just start with a description of my progress so far.
My initial knowledge of lucid dreaming came from a discovery documentary I saw although it hardly explained the phenomona in any detail. I have been lurking around here for about 6 months, but have only been seriously practacing lucid dreaming for around 5 months. I don't focus on a specific induction method, but instead combine frequent reality checks, meditation, raised waking awareness, and occasional repetition of mantras before bed. I also try to practice DEILD whenever i get the chance. I have had a total of about 35-50 lucids. I present such a wide range because I have had random lucid dreams (and SP) all my life even before I knew what they were, and also I have never really felt the need to count. This past month my rate of lucids has really increased. I have had two this week (in a row) and the most recent one was one of the most realistic experiences I've had yet.
With all that said, I have a some questions:
-I have a bit of trouble flying in my lucids. I can get off the ground fine, but once I do it seems like there isnt enough tactile stimulation to keep me anchored in the dream, and despite me trying to focus on the dream world, it tends to fade. Could this be due to inadequate stabalization prior to flying, or is it just me not focusing on non-visual feelings enough?
-It doesn't seem like a common experience, but the idea of having 360 degree vision in a dream really facinates me. I haven't seen too much discussion on it, and dont think I really understand what it is (I suspect it is highly subjective). Have any of you had it, and if so how did you achieve it.
