      Greetings, Fellow Dreamers

Hello. I guess I'll just start with a description of my progress so far.

My initial knowledge of lucid dreaming came from a discovery documentary I saw although it hardly explained the phenomona in any detail. I have been lurking around here for about 6 months, but have only been seriously practacing lucid dreaming for around 5 months. I don't focus on a specific induction method, but instead combine frequent reality checks, meditation, raised waking awareness, and occasional repetition of mantras before bed. I also try to practice DEILD whenever i get the chance. I have had a total of about 35-50 lucids. I present such a wide range because I have had random lucid dreams (and SP) all my life even before I knew what they were, and also I have never really felt the need to count. This past month my rate of lucids has really increased. I have had two this week (in a row) and the most recent one was one of the most realistic experiences I've had yet.

With all that said, I have a some questions:

-I have a bit of trouble flying in my lucids. I can get off the ground fine, but once I do it seems like there isnt enough tactile stimulation to keep me anchored in the dream, and despite me trying to focus on the dream world, it tends to fade. Could this be due to inadequate stabalization prior to flying, or is it just me not focusing on non-visual feelings enough?

-It doesn't seem like a common experience, but the idea of having 360 degree vision in a dream really facinates me. I haven't seen too much discussion on it, and dont think I really understand what it is (I suspect it is highly subjective). Have any of you had it, and if so how did you achieve it.

      Hello and welcome to DV!

      Here is our flying tutorial.

I have never had 360 degree vision in a dream, but that is a really cool concept, and not one that I have really seen discussed! I have no idea what that would feel/be like, but it seems like it would be pretty mind blowing. I wonder if it's even possible?

That's great that you've already had so many lucid dreams! Do you keep a dream journal?

Again, welcome to DV I look forward to seeing you around!

Yeah I have kept a DJ ever since i started lurking and can now remember an average of either 2-3 long dreams, or 4-5 short dreams per night (usually extreamly short pieces of dreams when my recall gets that high). My journal is physical, not online, and I am going to need to buy another one soon (the notebooks almost filled).

On the topic of my 360 vision question, I remember reading somewhere (either here of ld4all) that some people obtain this when they shapeshift into a fluid like water, mist, or fire, but as you said it doesn't seem to be a common topic. I invite anyone to help me test this out, and if I am correct it might help to transform with the specific intention of 360 vision.

Speaking of transformation, heres another question: To what extent do you actually feel the changes (addition/reduction of limbs or change in shape) in your dream body. I have been transforming since my first or second lucid but any feelings that don't directly correspond with WL sensations seem dulled and not vivid. If you do feel those sensations vividly, do you have any tips on it?

Thank you all in advance for any advice.

      Welcome to DV!

As for the flying (although I'm sure it was mentioned in the tutorial), maybe you could focus on the wind? If you're moving at high speeds, or at any speed at all, really, you should be feeling the wind pushing at your clothes, against your skin, etc. There's also the smell in the air, humidity that you could focus on.

I do transformations a lot more often, but it's usually just a quick switch for me. One second I'm a little girl, the next a grown man, and then I'm a wolf tracking someone through the forest. I'm not good at controlling the little in-between phases of these things, so I just skip them entirely. It works the same way for teleportation.

Everyone's different, right? If you want to feel those sensations vividly, you might just want to keep focusing on them, practicing, and drawing out the transformation.

I pick up a half-eaten copy of a book by Neil Gaiman, and decide this is all his fault.
