I use DILD, become lucid solely using a RC, which would be gravity RC. I RC whenever I wake up and try to keep it up for as long as I can. But different things work for different people, so you might want to create your own version to get best results.
DILDs are the easiest, you should read my post!

It took one night for me to have a DILD doing this. :D
I'm a beginner too. Maybe by now I can call myself an intermediate? Anyway, for most fellow beginners, I think MILD with WBTB is the way to go. Definitions vary, but I'd describe MILD as a combination of practices that, when used together, make a comprehensive strategy for inducing DILDs.
I agree with that. I've realised that I wasted a lot of time when I started trying to get lucid because I was obsessed with WILDs. Since I've started focusing on MILD I'm getting really good results.
DILD is also what I've been able to do. As I fall asleep I usually try to WILD but end up failing, but I think since I fall asleep with the mindset that I'm dreaming/going to be dreaming it helps me become lucid. Also Iv never become lucid after doing a RC, usually I notice something different about the people I'm with but doing an RC confirms my suspicions. :D
I used to use DILD and WILD, but my rate with DILDs have increased significantly. I focus on awareness of my dreams/waking life.
