Any good advice for a semi-newb?

A while back ( '09 days ) I started trying to lucid dream, I went 2 weeks following the program ( albiet laxly. ) and had results starting to show, but I quit. I have absorbed and remembered much information regarding dream control and WILDs,DILDs,and even MILDs, and I think almost every night I realize vaguely that I am dreaming, and in some dreams when I am still in my dreaming mind I can command things to happen or snap my fingers and whatever I command instantly happens without any transition it just goes POP like, " night, turn to day! " POP it's day and everything is still in it's exact same place. my trouble is finding my dream signs, my dreams seem to be completely different every night... any ideas on how to get back into LDing quickly??

Possibly keeping a DJ and reality checks? So dream recall and awareness improve?

There's no easy way to get back in, it's going to take the practice and dedication that you once had. Just keep working at it and you will get it eventually.

You should get back into things pretty quickly. I know what you mean about lucid dreaming permanently changing your dreams. Even when I'm not actively dreaming, I still just assume I have control of my dreams. It seems like it has just become habit. I even took a few years off, and my dream control remained.

I think the single most important thing you can do is interrupt your nights' sleep with a Wake Back To Bed. Get up for a few minutes to write down your dreams, then return to sleep with your intention set to become lucid.
