WBTB is simply waking up before a REM cycle and thinking about lucid dreaming for a short period of time, then going back to sleep. It's not really an induction technique like WILD or DEILD. Instead, it gets you focused on lucid dreaming right before a REM cycle and then you go back to sleep. You can choose to WILD, fall back asleep, whatever.
WILD is entering a dream consciously from an awakened state. You disconnect the mind from external perception and focus on internal perception. You literally enter a dream consciously.
