Dream Recall, and Sleep trouble
Well I have been trying for two nights mabye this is why?
but I could not recall a SINGLE dream, and last night I tried HILD (mabye Im to early for trying that?) :(
I just read the dream recall tutorial, mabye that will help. But what else could I do to become better at dream recall then concentrating on remembering it?
also
Eversince I read the site, I havn't been able to go to sleep quickly, it takes me about 1 hour to.
I think im just to excited to have a lucid dream, but I had troubles sleeping before.
so what can I do to sleep easily?
thanks for any help :)

don't get discouraged! sometimes it's not easy to recall dreams at first. when you first wake up, keep your eyes closed and lay still. opening your eyes and moving around can make it harder to remember dreams. the very first thing you should think about is asking yourself what you just dreamed about. if you can't remember anything at all, think about how you feel. sometimes emotions carry over from dreams, so concentrate on how you feel at the moment and something may come to you. if not, think about things you've had on your mind lately, problems, worries, goals, desires, etc. dreams often consist of things that are currently on your mind. also think about places you often go to, people you spend alot of time around, those things are also likely to be in your dreams. if you recall anything at all, write it down. (keeping a dream journal is important for building recall.) go ahead and continue about your day, but keep it on your mind, something you see may trigger a memory and you may recall a dream. but please, don't get discouraged or stressed out, as long as you believe you can do this and give it a little effort- you'll be recalling dreams in no time.

it would probably be better, just as girismyleader said, to wait until you build up your dream recall before you try techniques, at least until you can recall one dream per night.

I'm sure it's just because you're excited about lucid dreaming, which is perfectly alright. it's something to be excited about! you will gradually become more relaxed about it, but until then if you'd like you could try meditation (or something else) to relax yourself before you go to bed. it might help.
best of luck :D
