So, I have had a question about waking up to do a WILD. Should I wake up to the normal alarm clock, or a more calm alarm? Which one will produce better results?
It doesn't really matter if you're doing a WBTB first. If you're doing a DEILD, on the other hand, you'll probably want a quieter alarm or one that stops going soon after it activates.

Like Puffin said if you want to do a DEILD, then a quieter alarm; or you can drink a lot of something before bed which will cause you to wake up in the night, that is another good, more natural way. Sometimes if I wake up to an alarm I have a hard time to fall back asleep.
Welcome to the forums! I would recommend a calmer alarm, but really any alarm is fine :)
Welcome! I have to use a LOUD alarm, otherwise I don't wake up :P But, whatever works for you....Just experiment.
