It doesn't really matter if you're doing a WBTB first. If you're doing a DEILD, on the other hand, you'll probably want a quieter alarm or one that stops going soon after it activates. |

So, I have had a question about waking up to do a WILD. Should I wake up to the normal alarm clock, or a more calm alarm? Which one will produce better results? |

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Like Puffin said if you want to do a DEILD, then a quieter alarm; or you can drink a lot of something before bed which will cause you to wake up in the night, that is another good, more natural way. Sometimes if I wake up to an alarm I have a hard time to fall back asleep. |

Welcome to the forums! I would recommend a calmer alarm, but really any alarm is fine |
