Hello everyone
My name is Ben. I decided to join this site because I need something to motivate me to "stick to" attempting to lucid dreaming. Right now, im in "the mood" again, and I want to stay in "the mood". I have had about 3 lucid (or somewhat lucid) dreams, each of which lasted only a matter of seconds. I do keep a dream journal, but lately I have not written in it much, but I will start again.
I am looking for all the help I can get, Ill try to frequent this forum daily. Thanks ;)

Welcome to DreamViews, Ben!
I suggest you start by reading through Puffin's Beginner's Guide to Lucid Dreaming for basic information about lucid dreaming.
As for staying motivated, you can try reminding yourself of what it was that got you interested in lucid dreaming in the first place. Think about what you want to do in a lucid dream, and what it will be like to do it. Mancon wrote a guide about staying motivated, which can be found here.
How was your dream recall before you started keeping a dream journal? I've found that if you stop keeping a dream journal, your recall is likely to go back to what it was before you started keeping a journal. So even if you have great dream recall, it's important to keep writing in it to keep your recall up.
Enjoy your stay. If you have any questions at all, feel free to ask. :)

:welcome: to dreamviews!
A lot of people seem to get out of the lucid dreaming mood. I think it's because after some time of not getting any lucid dreams you feel like you have waisted your time. Just don't give up and you will start having nightly lucid dreams.
