Ok so Ive been having these dreams every night...the main stressor is I have no control of my body..like ive been drugged. I slide down walls to get somewhere and its always like I HAVE to get to someone or something, Theres always a sense of urgency. I swear its like I am working out in my sleep as I wake tired and sweaty from all the effort I put into myself to get somewhere. It feels like Ive been drugged in my dream...any insight would be helpful.
Have you been trying to have lucid dreams? Because what you describe sounds a lot like a common effect of a WILD. Or to be more precise, it sounds like the kind of WILDs caused by taking Galantamine. That's a supplement originally made to help Alzheimer's patients, that has been found to cause what's described on the label as "strange and vivid dreams", but which in actual fact are quite often lucid dreams. I've used it several times and the dreams it gives me are very similar to the ones you've described - I can barely walk right, I feel drugged or drunk, I sometimes find myself just sitting or laying in a weird sort of distorted position listlessly, as if I'm in some sort of a coma, and it seems like I sometimes just stay there for a long time staring at a section of the wall in front of me or something. Sometimes I have a sense of urgency, which I think I'd call more of an anxiety - because I'm semi-lucid, but not enough to fully understand what's going on, and I feel really weird about the terrible predicament I seem to be in that makes me into a clumsy shuffling zombie. And I do sometimes feel tired afterwards, as if I was working out like you said.
I've never experienced a WILD without using Galantamine (in fact, actually even my Galantamine dreams have been DILDs come to think of it, but I think they share some very WILD-like characteristics) - so I can't say if a regular WILD would have the same characteristics, but it seems like I've read somewhere that they can.
These could be some kind of anxiety nightmares that are making you semi-lucid (nightmares often do that, they sort of scare you half awake). Have you been experiencing a lot of stress lately in your life? Or taking some kind of medication?
Dreams most of the time are strong projections of sentiments mostly desire and fear.
So maybe the current state of your life is,or a potential for a situation like this(not literally drugged)
generates a sentiment of anxiety or inability to move in your sleep.
Which your dreams translates like that.
If this is recurring and every night, i am afraid someone is controlling your dreams and you're becoming weak in them. You say you feel something is urgent and you need to get to someone/somewhere, you're probably trying to find who is doing this in your dreams. If you find any kind of intrusion or enemy please do whatever to fight ok? you need to do this so you can have better dreams after. goodluck. :)

The target of control is for a person not to be aware of it.
Sometimes when work is getting done by the self on the etheric,mind is shutting down the kinetic centre.
Instead of fighting it calm down and let it go through you.

Since you say all your dreams are lucid, I would suggest to read through some of the tutorials and articles in DV Wiki, especially about dream control, stabilization and practicing daytime awareness. You can compare notes and figure out, what it is you having and how to make it better.
WILD is a technique to get a lucid dream, and also lucid dream you get by this technique. Hope this helps:)
The term WILD stands for Wake Induced Lucid Dream - it's actually a technique for going directly from a waking state into a lucid dream - of staying aware as your body slips into sleep and you watch a dream take form around you and you're lucid right from the start.Quote:

The book collects a lot of science and research and personal experience (LaBerge is an accomplished lucid dreamer), and it's written very clearly and doesn't veer off into mystical or spiritual tangents (like many conversations in here can do - not all, but it does happen). Just about everyone who's read the book recommend it as the best starting place for learning about lucid dreaming.
Sounds to me like you are experiencing sleep paralysis. Without it you would be acting out your dreams. Some people, especially when you are attempting WILD, wake up still in the sleep paralysis state. Making it impossible to move. You can break sleep paralysis by wiggling your fingers, arms, and eventually your entire body. SP is nothing to be afraid up, any hallucinations you might have can not harm you but can look pretty scary.
Yes i agree you need to learn the dream control technique, all you got to do is practise always. Best way is to meditate in dreams once you know how to meditate in real life. Once you do this, it will work wonders. Read meditation books, yoga anything to help you. Goodluck :)
Sleep paralysis - that's an interesting idea. But isn't it only called sleep paralysis when you wake up and are still unable to move and sort of 'dreaming while awake'? I mean, it actually happens every time you're in REM - normally though it's called REM Atonia (its the complete slackening of the body's muscles) and if a person wakes up still in this state then it's called sleep paralysis.
I've experienced SP a couple of times when I was young, and it was different from what she's describing. When I was in SP I was basically laying in my bed awake but couldn't move, and I was seeing my room around me, but there were things there that weren't real and that were moving around - sort of like dream elements overlaid over my actual view of my room. It was sort of like I was getting mixed signals - the actual view from my eyes was entering my brain, but at the same time my brain was also producing dreamlike illusions mixed in with what I was seeing. Incidentally a lot of alien visitation stories are thought to actually be sleep paralysis episodes - isn't it ironic how many of them begin with a person 'waking up' and discovering strange little creatures standing around their bed doing weird things to them?

The reason that you're waking up so tired is because this type of process demands huge amounts of energy.
And that explains the tireness.

How much sleep do you usually get? And how many miligrams of melatonin do you take? For some crazy reason most manufacturers put way too much into a dose - in fact it's often recommended that you cut the pill into peices and only take a fragment of it. And after taking it you should get a lot of sleep - like a good 8 hours, otherwise you're not getting the REM sleep you need to be healthy. Melatonin deprives you of REM for a few hours (I can look up the details if you want) and you have to make sure you sleep for those few hours plus several more in order to get the REM rebound effect you need. If you're not able to sleep that long at a stretch, a nap later in the day would be very helpful to catch up on REM sleep.

i misread WILDS...
Here is what Ivebeen having happen. I lay down and I am awake..or concious that I am awake but I am asleep. I hear my kids I can listen to their conversations...all the while Im also dreaming very vividly. Its so weird. What is this?:panic:
