Hello there!
I recently discovered this website while doing some research on lucid dreaming. I think that it is great that there is a community dedicated to lucid dreaming and everything else dream related. I wanted in on the fun, so I decided to join and see for myself what Dream Views has to offer.
Since yesterday I have started recording my dreams. I keep a clipboard with white paper on my nightstand so that I can scribble or sketch everything down the moment I become conscious. Perhaps I'll start my own Dream Journal one of these days.
I am looking forward to exploring more of this website and meeting new people. :)

Welcome to Dreamviews :) Ive loved dreams ever since I found out about lucid dreaming and dreamviews, the whole community is friendly and super nice :D
Oh and if you've never lucid dreamed before, don't give up, it's not an other night thing (rarerly is anyway) it took me about two weeks to have my first lucid dream. I had one eariler today during a nap and it puts me in the most of amazing moods. there are tutorials on dreamviews i'd recommend you check out if you haven't already, most popular are DILD and MILD so.. good luck :)

Thank you! :)
I will definitely keep trying! Ages ago I had a dream where I could fly, but I don't think it was a lucid one. I wanna fly again by my own will. :D
Thank you, again. I'll be sure to go investigate this DILD and MILD you speak of.
I hope you have a wonderful day!

Hey leerex and welcome to Dreamviews! This forum and the community is awesome! There's always someone who can answer your questions, so dont be afraid to ask.
And having a DJ is very important to lucid dreaming. It tells your brain dreams are important to you, you can see common dreamsigns, and it's fun to reminisce in your old dreams! Don't be upset if it takes you a while, there's some people who take days to have their first LD and some people take weeks or months. It took me a month, but it could be tonight for you, who knows?

Thanks for the welcome! :D
I've been making sure to write in my dream journal every morning right when I wake up. :)

Welcome to the forum!
A lucid dream is truly an amazing experience! Flying while lucid doubly so! If you achieve it you will understand why I say amazing.
MILD (Mnemonically Induced Lucid Dream) and DILD (Dream Induced Lucid Dream) are common ways to have lucid dreams. I linked you to tutorials for each which are located in our WIKI.
WILD(Wake Initiated Lucid Dream) also works well for some people though it is best used with the WBTB(Wake-Back-To-Bed) technique. I have those often during the school year after I get my kids to school.
The staff is here to answer questions and point you in the right direction. If you have any questions feel free to post them on the forum or you can send me or any staff-member a private message by clicking on our profile name and using the links that pop up. :)
We also have a beginner's class in our DreamViews Academy. If you would be interested in joining up check out the stickied threads at the top and see if it's for you! Intro Class (OpheliaBlue, Caenis, RareCola, realdealmagic)
Pleasant dreams! Remember to keep up with the Dream Journal! :)
