Newbie 1st time Lucid dreaming & OBE last night
Hi everyone! My name is Tonya & I'm new to this forum and to Lucid dreaming & OBEs.
I have had an interest in Lucid dreaming & OBEs for about 6 months, however I've been unable to make any progress in achieving any sort of lucidity. Last night though I took Galantamind and achieved everything that I've been working on!
At 3:30am I awoke and took 1 Galantamind pill. After about 30 minutes I was engulfed by the loudest jet engine type sound I have ever heard followed by an explosion of colors and light. I went on to hear what felt like millions of voices outside of my bedroom. I then opened my astral eyes (I went to bed wearing an eye mask) and saw a football player standing in front of me in my doorway. He was surrounded in light & floating images. Upon seeing him I heard a football game outside my room. This was all obviously a hypnagogic hallucination, however I could feel that I was out of my body, but my astral body didn't leave my bed. I was completely aware that I had a physical body as well that was in sleep paralysis.
I became nervous and a bit overwhelmed by all of this sensory overload and decided to close my astral eyes. I was becoming afraid of what I might see. I eventually went into a lucid dream. In the dream I was going on a trip (walking) with someone (not sure who, it was a male). In the dream I said to the person "we have to hurry up because I'm sleeping and will wake up soon". After traveling a bit on this trip, I turned to the person and said "we have to turn back now, I'll be waking up soon". We then proceeded to reverse each step we took until I woke up.
I proceeded to then "wake up". I saw my boyfriend in bed next to me and asked him to close the door. He did as I asked but the door kept popping open. He closed it, but again it popped open. This happened over and over again.
I finally then woke up to real life. I realized that my boyfriend wasn't even in bed with me. My door had been closed the whole time.
All while this was happening to me, I was nervous but not terrified. It was just overwhelming. It certainly was by far the most bizarre night I have ever had in my life, and I have been walking around in amazement all day. I do feel a bit un-grounded - that's something I didn't expect to feel, but it makes sense.
I just wanted to share this story with all of you, and I welcome any comments.
Thanks for reading.
