Hello everybody! Introduction and a question!
Hello everybody! I'm Rob! I have been fascniated by LD for the past week (since I heard of it) and think I made a breakthrough last night!
Anyway after waking up I wrote in my dream journal for the first time, which I have never tried, and was able to remember 3 dreams that I had which I think are the only ones besides one short one in VIVID detail. I'm talking about half a page on college ruled paper and here it is 12 hours later I still remember them.
One was about a ghost in my room and I remember distinctly being paralyzed by the ghost for a few seconds and a tingling feeling followed by paralyzation which seemed so real.
The next was at my teacher's house for a class and my crush kissing me after I told her she was beautiful.
The next was the federal government demolishing schools, and watched mine being blown up.
The 4th small one was me doing a reality check in my room that didn't work and falling asleep without asking if I was dreaming or trying anything else.
Is being able to recall dreams that well normal for a first try and am I close to lucidity? I tried the MILD method by saying I would remember to see if I was dreaming. Thanks. I may try a wild this weekend in the daytime so I wake up afraid to light if it goes wrong.
Re: Hello everybody! Introduction and a question!
Hey there and welcome to the forum!
The answer to your first question is that I believe that you could have been in some sort of Sleep Paralysis, and maybe had even seen some Dream Imagery along with it. For the 2nd and 3rd questions, those are just normal dreams that you might want to keep track of in a Dream Journal, so in the future, it can be used to increase Recall, and could help LDing as well.
Yes, being able to recall them is normal, and good luck on trying the methods MILD and WILD...you might even consider looking at the Tutorials section before you attempt it.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!

Welcome!! It's great to have you here. Check out everything. We have awesome resources for all sorts of dreaming related and non dreaming related material. Having good dream recall essential in Lucid dreaming. The better you get at recalling your dreams, the better you will be at LDing. I would say that you might have a slightly above average recall ability, but it's nothing unusual.
