As I read I found that I had quite a bit going for me. I have always had good dream recall and have always enjoyed pondering over and sharing my dreams with others. And at times in my life I have kept dream journals. One of the best things is that I am very familiar with my dream signs.
So for the past few weeks I have been giving this a lot of thought. I haven't been actively been trying all the techniques, but each night before bed I have told myself that when I see my dream signs, that should trigger lucidity.
Well, after waking unsuccessfully from several dreams with one of my most reoccuring dream signs (my teeth becoming loose or falling out---heard this was a very common one), I started to wonder if I would ever figure it out. In fact, I started to dismiss this whole idea of Lucid Dreams as "Wishful Thinking" and "Ignorant Want".
The night after I dismissed the whole thing, I had my first lucid dream...... LOL. (Good timing) And now I am very excited about this again, because I know that not only is it possible, but it is possible for me.
That was just two nights ago. Last night I was sure I was going to have another one. But I didn't. I think the real test will be to see if that same dream sign will trigger it again. That's what I am hoping for.
Anyway, that is a little introduction about me and what I have done. I have meant to post before now, but better late than never, I guess.
I am thinking about posting my lucid dream, but I still haven't decided where on this board is the best place.
Thanks to all who post here. It's nice to know there is a good support group.
