Hiya there mkauf. Well, I don't know how much you've read already, but the technique you're referring to is WILD - I've had some success with this method myself.
The key is not to be "energised" but just to let your body and your mind fall asleep while retianing a small kernal of awarenss. You can do this by counting, or focussing on your body, or other techniques. There's a few good tutorial in the tutorials subforum.
As for deep sleep - what you should do is not to try and WILD straight when you go to bed. Combine WILD with a WBTB, so go to sleep for 5 hours or so, wake up, stay awake for half an hour, THEN try to wild. You won't likely have much success if you try it when you first go to bed, because you have to last through that 40-minute plus deep sleep. If you do it with a WBTB later on in the night, then you get very little deep sleep and longer REM periods.
ive tried mostly everything but my minds just not trained enough for it, i try to go to sleep and i try to pay attention so i can catch myself going to sleep, but the only thing that happens is i will feel like i just feel from the ceiling into my bed and wake back up. Or sometimes i just wake up the next morning not remembering when it was that i feel asleep and only remember a couple segments of 1 or 2 dreams that i have had.
Hi,
You might want to have a look at the FILD (Finger Induced LD) technique. If you struggle with
WILD then give FILD ago. It is so easy and the first time I tried it I got an LD straight away.
I havn't been sleeping much since then so I havn't had a good chance to try again but I will
be trying FILD again this weekend - so I hope to get a good result again :)
WILD and FILD seem to be most like what you are describing as the body falls asleep while
there is a part of the mind that remains awake and you stay concious into the dream state
and then just go on from there :) As an alteration to the FILD technique you might not want
to estimate a time b4 doing the RC but wait until you feel yourself enter dreamstate. When
I enter the dreamstate my whole body tingles like a single vibration runs through me and
then I know I am there. If that happens to you it would be a good guage that you got there
and you don't have to disturb yourself to do the RC but you could do it once you got your LD.
Good Luck,
Namaste ;)
