I just started up again a week ago and i have been having nearly a dream every night (not lucid yet though :( ) and i realized that everything seems fuzzy. I was just wondering if everything becomes instantly bright as soon as you realize that you are dreaming. i mean, does the lucid dream world all of the sudden appear as vivid and detailed as every day life????
also, i have had a dream where i was being chased by a polar bear, and i flew to get away from him. I dont think i knew exactly that i was dreaming, but i was aware that i could fly. Would you call that lucid? or just another dream? i think i get clearer dreams every night so far.

i think clarity increases with memory recall
i can remember some dreams where the world was so clear i thought i could cut my finger on a leaf
my dreams are usually clear
my memories of them fade if i dont write them down
i read someplace that for clarity their are vitimin suppliments you can take to assist in clarity

Dreams tend to be just as real as real can be. There are just a few phenomena that can, how shall I say, confuse the experience. For example, the actual events of the dream change very much with even slight changes in personal emotion. Also, there is the third-person "movie" type dream, where one isn't actually viewing things from their own dream-body.
All the senses are there in full power, and you can feel things in dreams you can't in real life. The fuzziness only comes with normal dreams. If you've never had an LD, trust me, anything's possible.
BTW, great job on the dream recall! Be happy it's coming so naturally to you.
