how do i start
My friend recently introduced me to the concept of lucid dreaming and I am very intrigued and would love to become involved with lucid dreaming I will start a dream journal, but my question is how long or how much recall should I have before I start trying to induce a lucid dream? Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,

IF you are one to recall three, four dreams per night there is know reason that it is not possible you could achieve Lucidity right now.
I was Introduced to Lucid dreaming one afternoon and I had never heard of the concept before. I was open minded about the whole Idea. I was told to repeat to myself - I AM GOING TO REMEMBER RECOGNIZE THAT I AM DREAMING! Before I go to sleep. I did & I had a Ld that very night. Some people have beginners luck as I did. So give it a try.
Keep in mind that fream journals and further knowledge of Lucid dreaming is imperitive to sharpen your skills in the event that you do become a Lucid dreamer.
Best of Luck! And welcome to the Forum. I like your name. tranquel rather than evil.

Make sure you have a good dream recall (@ least one dream a night) then you can start experimenting with the lucid dreaming induction methods (there are so many, the most popular are MILD and WILD). You can find some good info in the turtorials section on this forum.

Speed Guide to Lucidity
Work on recall - 2-3 weeks (or until at least one full dream per night)
Work on recognition - 3-4 weeks (RCs, etc.)
Work on control - For a long time.

WELCOME!!!! I would say it depends on the person, so try it for as long as you have to. When you feel its time to move on, you're probably right...
