Attempt to WILD...

Hello, 2 days ago I found out what LD's were and tried that WILD technique yesterday night, so I got trough the first three stages and then, I feel numbness and I feel that "gentle sinking" feeling, but suddenly my heart beggins to race like hell. I dont know why I remained calm and continued to breathe deeply but when I managed to control my heart, the numbness in my muscles had gone and I feelt very awake.

Can someone tell me what was my problem?


P.S. I know WILD is advanced for me but I think it is the most effective way to have an LD, Im keeping a dream journal too.

Jeez, you can get that far?! I've tried a few times but not even HI starts to show up >.<. Anyway, maybe you weren't calm enough because it had never happened to you before and you didn't know what to expect, so maybe you should try it again with this knowledge and keep calm :D

Did you even try WBTB? I've heard it's much easier when doing that. Either getting up 4 1/2 hours after sleeping or 6 hours after sleeping should be good. That's because REM cycles are 90 minutes apart. If you are really tired and still can't get up, you may wanna try after 7 1/2 hours of sleeping too. Good luck for tonight, i think i'm gonna go and try now :P

Movement + SP = no SP.Maybe you flinched when you realized your heart went crazy. The same heart thing happens to me. But I am always too sleepy to go through with a WILD.
