I suggest you pick up a copy of Stephen LaBerge's "Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming". A great book for reading when learning about lucid dreaming. As well as a thorough guide for induction techniques.
But aside from that, drop by the Tutorials section:

Oh, but for the basics in short keep in mind that:
DILD = Dream Induced Lucid Dream
WILD = Wake Induced Lucid Dream
Those aren't techniques, they're types of lucid dreams. The first is a lucid dream that arises from realising you are dreaming in a dream. The second is a dream you enter consciously from the wake.
All other abbreviations are techniques.

WILD is a method you can use to trigger a lucid dream.
A page with other acronyms you may encounter on the site: -->DV Acronyms
Thanks for the help!!!!
Hey, I know you are a newbie, but you are free to post in other sections of the forum :)
(just making sure you know :D)
Hi and welcome to Dream Views.
Hope you find what you're looking for and hope to see you around. Dont be shy. We're all basically nice and sane people here. :D
Hey don't worry about it. Which parts specifically?
Dont worry about it. You will pick it up soon enough. Before I joined here I had been lucid dreaming for 10+ years and had never come accross these terms before. So I have been in the same boat. But everyone here is friendly enough to help you along :)
If need be just drop me a PM or something if there are specific bits you are unsure of an I will help you out :)
(maybe not for the next week though as go on holiday tomorrow lol)
