Welllll hellllo! :P
You can have one right away if 1. you are motivated enough and 2. you don't stress over it.
Have you read LaBerge's lucid dreaming book? Here is what I would recommend for tonight: Reading selected passages from that book, particularly people's lucid dreaming experiences, going to sleep, waking up 5-6 hours later, staying awake a few minutes reading the book or reading up things on DV, and trying MILD.
Keep that up and it'll work, if not tonight then soon.
:)
I had a lucid dream on my first try, a few weeks ago, because I really really wanted one and it was all I could think of.
I was only conscious that I was dreaming for a little bit though, and since then I don't think I've had one.

It'll happen. Some times people can go weeks before having their first Lucid Dream. It just takes dedication, practice and trying not to stress too much over it.

Two things you should do regularly are Dream Journal and reality check. Whenever you remember a dream, write down whatever you can about it. Be it the full dream or just bits and pieces. Even a place or person, sound or colour, something you saw, a feeling, or just the fact that you had a dream. Anything helps!
Reality Checking often is another big help. Making it a habit in your day to day life will, as we hope, cause you to do so in a dream and realize you're dreaming. Take in your surroundings, be aware of where you are. Ask yourself if you're dreaming. Look for things that don't seem right. Do things like looking at your hands, plugging your nose and trying to breathe, trying to stick your finger through your palm, or flicking light switches. Ask yourself if your dreaming while you do these. It can even be entirely mental, to avoid worrying about "looking weird" in public.
If you have any questions, drop a PM to myself, another Dream Guide (Green Named members) or any other member willing to help! :D
Happy Dreaming!
Thank you for the welcome, and for the tips.
Yes, I've started a dream journal, about two weeks ago, and I've already noticed a difference. I've always been able to remember my dreams, but in the past I didn't really care about it. Since I started writing them down I can remember at least one dream when I wake up in the morning.
Thanks!
If you're really serious about it, then I suggest a technique called DEILD (which is basically a WILD). It's about staying totaly still, keeping your eyes closed the moment after you wake up (act like you haven't woken up at all)... usually you wake up just after the last dream, if there's some "juice" left and if you stay still, you might fall back into the dream. It's quite reliable, but don't expect it to last long or have great "graphics".
If you can afford to wake up slowly and naturally, instead of having people telling you how late you are, then you can give it a try. Just remember "don't move" when you wake up. Consider it a bonus if you get a LD this way, but dedication and patience is rewarding, at least that's what people say.
its almost impossible to not open your eyes after waking u, cuz thats not the first thig im thinking of...
or to not move.
Well you can close them back and wait for it. As long as you don't wake up too much or move (don't know how much you can move though, I suggest not moving).
Good luck anyway!
