New here
Hey everyone, I'm new here.
I heard about lucid dreaming about a year ago but never really done much reading on what it actually is. I found this forum through Google and thought this might be pretty interesting.
So what exactly is lucid dreaming? It just allows you to feel the dream as if it were real life? Can anybody do this or only those who were born with the ability?
Thanks

Lucid dreaming is a dream where you know that you're dreaming. It can allow you to control the dream, and often lucid dreams are more vivid and realistic than normal dreams. A few people are natural lucid dreamers, so they're the ones who are born with the ability. Most of us have only had a few lucid dreams in our life, if any, so we have to actively try to get them. But anyone can lucid dream - it's just harder for some than others.

It appears that there are people born with this gift, but it's rare.
Lucid dreaming is realizing that your dream world is just a figment of your imagination and realizing that this means there are no ramifications to anything that you do and that the laws of man and even the laws of the universe do not exist.

Hi and welcome to Dream Views.
Since everyone dreams (some just don't remember their dreams or don't care to) I think that anyone can lucid dream. It'll be harder for some than others.
Work on your dream recall by keeping a dream journal.
Keep it by your bed so you can jot down anything you remember when you wake up during the night or first thing in the morning. Once your dream recall starts improving find a method or two of lucid dream induction that you like and start practicing.
