I was just wondering if staying up late could effect dream recall, ability to have lucid dreams or just the ability to, well, dream. Because I read somewhere that it does and I stay up late most of the time so should I be stopping?

I think that the main thing is to have a regular sleep schedule and get plenty of sleep. If you go to sleep late and wake up late, and do that on a regular basis, I don't think it could negatively affect your dreams. I guess that the best thing would be to get to sleep at a reasonable time, but as long as your consistent it should be fine.
As far as I know, you want to have a regular sleep schedule, and get 7-8 hours. Other than that, I don't think going to bed late should affect you. :)
Ok thanks to both of you:bowdown:
Aw. I missed out on some bowing action.
As the others said, a regular sleep schedule should keep you neck deep in dream recall. And do keep a dream journal if you don't already have one. That helps a heck of a lot as well.
I have noticed that going to bed later than normal affects my dreams a lot. I definitely have more success on the nights that I get extra sleep.
I stay up late sometimes and I notice poor dream recall afterwords.
yea its always a good idea to get sleep cuz sleep=REM=LD
OK thanks a lot guys(and girls.) Now I'm going to try to get to bed earlier as I usually wake up early as well and it might be mucking things up. And for all those who missed out on a bow here's another one.
