I would advise reading the whole website first. (Not the forums)
Ok, i read almost all of that.
What i dont know is if i should start trying to have lucid dreams right now or wait until i know more about it.
Just start by writing all the dreams you've had that night when you wake up. (dream journal) I would wait a week before you actually try to have a lucid dream, because recall is key and lucid is lock. Get my drift?

Like Elwood suggested, the front page has a great intro to lucid dreaming. In addition to that, we have a Tutorials Section here:

You might want to check out the Lucid Dreaming Quick Start Tutorial especially.
The best way to start lucid dreaming is to start questioning your reality and your dreams. Start a Dream Journal so you can become aware of your dreaming world. Start Reality Checking so you can become aware of your waking world.
In addition to that, you need to start getting in the habit of waking up after every dream throughout the night, or at least once in the middle of the night. You can check out the Wake Back To Bed Tutorial (WBTB) for more information:

If you are comfortable with meditation and trance induction, you can start to use tricks like WILD, MILD, and VILD to pass directly from waking into sleeping direclty. This can be tricky, and takes some patience, trial and error. It is very cool if you can figure it out, though!
Of course, if you have any questions, ask away :)
