An Initial Problem
Hey, I’ve been interested in lucid dreaming for a while now, but only recently ‘properly’ started looking into it. I’ve started my dream journal, and I’m getting used to doing reality checks more and more. The problem I have at the moment, is now when trying to sleep, the thoughts of lucid dreams seem to prevent me from falling to sleep. Of course, eventually I will fall asleep but only after a significant amount of time.
I wanted to know if anyone else also suffers the same type of problem, or if anyone has been like that in the past. Thanks.

hmm, not really, my guess is you aren't tired when you go to bed. I had a similar thing where I would stay awake for sometime before I drift to sleep. Once I started to run on the treadmill a couple of hours before bed, I found that I slept much faster because my body was tired. You might even be able to WILD when you first go to bed instead of doing a WBTB to do one if you are tired enough and experience REM rebound :D
BTW, welcome to dreamviews :D
