Hey, Just introducing myself.
hey what's up. i've had this website bookmarked for a while but never joined the forums. I've known about lucid dreaming for many years but never really trained myself to try. I always wanted have one but never was able to, mainly because lack of practise or whatnot. But today I finally had one and I decided to come sign up for the forum and further pursue lucid dreaming because i found it so amazing. i'll give you guys a brief overview of what happened.
today i had an exam at 11:30am so i went to the exam and was abck at my house by 12:30. i immediately went back to sleep. i'm not sure how long i was asleep but at one point i awoke to a dream within a dream. i was lieing in my bed and opened my eyes and saw figures surrounding me. this has happened before on many times but before i just get scared and open my eyes for real and wake up. but this time right away i was like wait i'm dreaming. so i opened my eyes again and saw more figures surrounding me. i then closed my eyes again and plotted what to do. i then opened my eyes for a third time and immediately jumped outta bed and started swinging at all the figures around me. it felt like i was actually hitting a person or something but then the figures disappeared. i then turned around flicked the light switch two or three times to make sure i was dreaming. no lights so i knew i was lucid. the dream pretty much consisted of me walking and flying around my neighbourhood. the only difference was it wasnt exactly my neighbourhood. the houses were placed differently and walls and building at my university were different. however the parking lots and the bridge to the usa. were the same. the dream ended by me trying to fly straight up into the sky i hit a point where i felt like i couldnt go any further and then i woke up.
two interesting things i found in the dream were, when i tried to fly around my neighbourhood i found it difficult to get height and i flew into a couple walls (that dont really exist on campus). and also when i flew straight up towards the stars i felt like my fear of heights was kicking in, i was too scared to look down and i felt fear in my stomach.
so now i'm here to learn more on how to become lucid more often and learn more about what my dreams mean.
