Shortly after reading a few threads on these boards, I began having lucid dreams. My problem is with WILD's and being trapped in my room. When I have a WILD, I am always laying in my bed when I go lucid. I get up, and none of the lights work, obviously. The first time I was trapped, I remembered reading about thinking about a place I want to be, and when I opened a door, I would go there. I tried it with my bathroom door, but it was just my bathroom when I opened it. Another time I had a WILD, trapped again in my room, I went to my window to peek outside. It was bright, but it was also raining and the window was blurry from all the water. I wanted to jump through the window, but was scared that I would feel pain.
Last night, I had 2 WILD's, and was again trapped. However, this time I could walk freely through my apartment. The first WILD, I woke up naked. After walking around my apartment for a bit, I decided to walk out the front door. I picked up a shirt and as soon as the shirt was over my head, obstructing my view, I woke up. The next WILD I accidentally fell asleep with my covers slightly covering my face. When I was lucid, the covers were still covering my face, no matter how hard I tried to peel them off. Determined, I walked to the front door and stepped outside. A few seconds later, I was awake.
Every single WILD I have had, I've been trapped in my bedroom/apartment. Only twice has there been lights on; the rest were very dark. I have had DILDs where I was in much more control. In my DILDs, I can fly around or start a New Orleans style parade, or jump off balconies. The only problem is that DILD is much more harder for me than WILD, which are very easy for me.
Has anyone had experience with being trapped in a certain room? Every time I walk outside, I wake up. Also, when I want to crawl of a window, something in my head makes me afraid of leaving. I would really like to explore more, but I can't get control of my dreams when I WILD. Anyone have any tips? Thanks.
