I tried my best to do with out but i need advice.

Hello forum, I have been into Lucid dreams and more so Astral projection for basically my whole life. I have read endless book on the subject and I am now obsessed with actually getting out. I have nearly mastered the body relaxation. I come to a point where my body is forgettable in a way. Although if wanted i could still move so it isn't SP but just relaxation. Now body isn't the problem though. It is this cursed mind that i have. See i seem to not have the ability to clear my mind. I have tried many techniques but here is what happens: Anytime i think or the thought of trying not to think or simply focusing on my breathing will somehow spin my into an elaborate, fabricated stories in my mind. I will spin off into some crazy character i have made up. It is really interesting to see this come out now and its an interesting trait to have, But i need to learn to lay this aside to i can advance to later stages of relaxation, and have a chance of getting out. Dose anyone have any idea of anything that would work for me? I have been practicing for 2 months now. On and off but every night for the past 3 weeks.

I understand what you mean when you say you dont have the ability to clear your mind, and its not just you, its everyone...unfortunately clearing your mind is one of the most difficult things I think you can possible do...way harder than lucid dreaming or astral projecting. If you want to learn how to clear your mind then you need to look into is meditation, preferably zen meditation. Meditation will help you learn the techniques and practice to be able to bring it into lucid dreaming. if you can do that and learn how to quiet your mind than that is amazing and you will have a big advantage going into lucid dreaming and astral projection.

To lucid dream you dont need to have a completely clear mind to be able to do it. plenty of people have done it, including myself, and we're no zen masters. But its sounds like your trying to do two methods at once...WILD and astral projecting, which is fine, a bit of a grey area I think but who knows, it might be perfect for you.

I want you to check out this website and watch all the videos on it. This site has helped me out greatly with lucid dreaming and astral projecting and Im sure it will for you.
