Anyone get random urges?
Yes, actually. I get the urge to laugh maniacally. I try to subdue it to a malicious chuckle in public, but if I'm alone in my room, I belt it right out. I blame Zeta. He's the evil part of me. :P
No. I am perfectly rational all of the time every day.
Also your friends are lying.
I have to make a fart sound on my girlfriends neck while hugging her. Dunno why, it sounds funny and feels good somehow.
I used to get a powerful urge to bite off my (now) ex-husband nipples when we were laying down to sleep. I was never mad at him at the time and the thought always shocked me.
And, at times, when I'm walking (but not yet tired), I get the urge to just lay on the ground and go to sleep. My body starts then (after the thought) to feel as though made of lead and I can't help but wonder if I'm stuck in a dream.
I also get urges to poke my children lol or squeeze the tops of their heads and make a strange noise :D Those urges, I usually follow through with
Biting people. I usually then say "I really felt like biting you just now but decided against it" and they just give me a :holyshit: look and then continue whatever they were saying
Every 8-10k achievement score on xboxlive I delete my account and create a new one. I have wasted so much money for such a trivial goal, but that's okay.
poopdeck
Sometimes I get the urge to edit my posts, in order to confuse people.
Sometimes, I get the urge to leave others in peace.
I get the urge to have sex with my girlfriend every time she smiles. It can get pretty bothersome.
Sometimes I get the urge to point out that I have a girlfriend. And that we have sex sometimes.
:cackle:
Oh, I also get the urge to hug people saying smart things. Sometimes.
Sometimes I get the urge to come back to Dreamviews and make negative and offensive posts.
Part of the inner demon in me. He's 14, just like me, and he can fly really fast faster than sonic and he's really cool hes made out with a bunch of girls...he doesnt do drugs but people think hes really cool and popular and he sometimes goes crazy and destroys the earth in one punch hes done it twice already
In public, when talking to people I've only just acquainted or don't meet with often, I very often get the urge to do something crazy like throw water at them, punch them in the face, pull their hair, kiss them etc, because I'm nervous at socializing and my mind goes crazy wondering how they'd react in real life if I did something completely unconventional and unexpected. Like they're making nice small talk with me and what if I threw food in their face or slapped them? What would they do?
Luckily, I never act on these urges, they just disturb me mentally.
And.............well, to get this off my chest, I'm ashamed that I have REALLY racist urges, because sometimes when I see a picture of a black person or see one in real life walking along, I get this instant subconscious but strong urge to kick them in the head. :( Not all black people, but some.
Hey, I've lived in Utah all my life, so I've hardly ever interacted with a real life black person in my ENTIRE life... or most non-white races, for that matter.
Sometimes I must imagine how I could kill family, friends or even my dog when with them or upon seeing them or else it will just keep being in my mind that I must.
It's damn disturbing and makes me realize how fragile life is. All it takes is a tought and an act upon that tought. Wich is why it disturbs me because I already did the thought part all that remains is the acting part.
I get mental urges similarly to DarkComrade at times. I won't elaborate much on it.
The urge to just fall over in the hope that the ground will feel soft and will catch me <-- I've never actually fallen over though. I'm urged to look away from people immediately upon making eye contact, which I do do.
Occasionally I get the urge to suck a big, meaty dick
Sometimes, I get the urge to insult people with image macros.

As strange as this may sound I was sitting in the hall at my college at one of the tables and I didn't want the gum in my mouth anymore.
I had the strongest urge to just throw it at the window or wall next to me. I know its wrong and gross lol but I wanted to.
I didn't btw.
I typically get the urge to test how flammable everything I see is. Unfortunately, I don't carry a lighter on me. . . yet.
I get the urge sometimes to just go out and live in the wilderness and completely forgo society, except for maybe a few friends if they'd join.
I get that urge ALL the time, Alucinor!
I get that too! also sometimes when watching a movie in some place in europe that looks BEAUTIFUL and peacefull i imagine myself living there, then i think back to where i live and i am not impressed, then i think of the beautiful places where i am and i like it again.!
I'm being viewpoint brainwashed by myself. :P
When people say "sup", I have the urge to say "my penis".
Most of the people just have silly urges, and are probably just random things. Though those two strike me as possibly obsessive compulsive disorder. Lucidflanders is an example of an obsession. The need to do something that is random. Usually if you don't do it, it gets stronger, and possibly you feel anxiety from it. Deerythedeer is an example of a compulsion. Which is the urge to do something, that you will never do and you know you will never do. Yet you can't help but feel anxiety and worry about doing it anyway. I kind of suspect that there are probably a ton of people with obsessive compulsive disorder who suffer from only mild symptoms and probably overlook it because of that.
Hm... I can't think of any urges. I get cravings though for certain types of food.
On rare occasions it's so bad I wonder if I'm secretly pregnant lol.
My random urge is usually sex on a random day or just a random masturbation day
Sometimes I get the urge to moderate threads where people are taking potshots at each other by saying something like "Play nice, kids." Sometimes in the hopes of preventing a firefight I will remind them both to not get too personal and mean-spirited with their comments and also not to take such potshots too seriously.
I HAVE to drive over the snow that's in the middle of the driveway, in between where the tires normally travel. I get a weird satisfaction from making the snow even.
Wow
"Real life black person"? Hmmm... Seems like you're in great need of traveling... Or lowering your KKK exposure (I'm not sure which one, I like to think it's the first). You probably need a tan too... :P (kidding) But at least you realize how awful it is that you have those urges! Kudos for honesty.
Felt like In-N-Out for lunch today. Then had Taco Bell :P
I get the urge to bite sometimes. Nothing particular, I just really wish I could sink my teeth into an apple, or anything.
Wait, it's a thing to not have random urges? hmm.
you know, that didn't cross my mind but I think you're right. I've had all kinds of related thoughts since I can remember, and I was diagnosed with OCD tendencies several years ago. it was completely overlooked because it's not full OCD, and manifests in so many different ways (and in fairly short-lived phases).
let's see, in addition to some things already posted, I've had urges to kick very pregnant women, claw people's eyes out (that weren't even bothering me), hit drinking glasses/mugs off of tables, drive into oncoming traffic (especially motorcyclists), kill/mutilate pets, kick in glass store fronts..
I think a lot of random urges are natural curiosity, and I think it's natural to want to kill/destroy things. you know, something instinctual, kill or be killed- that's what I imagine anyway. it's only a disorder if it's both persistent and causes considerable enough stress to impair everyday functioning.
all the things above I've resisted (thankfully) but some less harmful urges I've found impossible to resist are: keeping exhaustingly detailed journals (and dating every writing point even with the exact time), arranging things certain (often arbitrary) ways, cleaning rooms to a pristine state, reading books cover-to-cover without any skipping (it's very hard for me to skip anything or around), saving things/keeping things intact/perfect, painting on my walls.
that's all I can think of at the moment anyway.
