I started the day with 4 hours of sleep (Mistake number one). I had four classes in a row from 9-2, got home, had some leftover Chinese takeout (Mistake number two) and a couple large glasses of water for hydration, but didn't take any with me on the ride (mistake number three.) Yesterday I took a 10 mile bikeride and thought I could handle a longer one today (Mistake number 4). I got 6 miles from my house and was feeling just fine, well-hydrated, breathing OK. But then I realized most of my trip was downhill, and would have to bike uphill the 6 miles back (mistake number 5). By mile number 8 (4 to go) I started having trouble breathing all the way in and my legs were getting tired. By mile number 10 I got queasy; the Chinese leftovers were not settling well. By mile number 11 I was getting dizzy so I had to slow down (thank goodness we live on country backroads with no one there.) I am finally home and hydrating to the max. UGH.
Although I did accomplish 22 miles in 2 days, that's not bad! Next time I won't do it two days in a row >.<
