I see this actually back firing horribly. Anonymous (and recently LulzSec) made a lot of people ambivalent about their attacks, but for some people, Facebook is pretty important. If they attack and leak out anything from there, I can see people willing to give the government the power to police the internet, or even more power.
In fact, I remember when LulzSec was trending, someone suggested that they or people in them and Anon were government operatives to force people to fear the relatively unregulated internet. It's not the craziest thing I've heard.
