Refraining had no negative effects on dreaming for me, but I've heard that it did for others. The reason is probably that the increased sex drive made them concentrate less on dreaming. Focus your attention away from sex and onto dreaming, then everything will be fine
Unless you dream about sex.

i went about 30 days as a personal challenge earlier in the year. also just haven't been doing it as much as before (bout once a day), it's kind of nice. i had read about how your testosterone levels rise and drop off after every seventh day or when you orgasm. so i try to keep it to once or twice a week. been failing on that recently haha but it's interesting because during that time i would try to do it so the sixth or seventh day would land on a day i was going out, def had better luck with the ladies haha. i think that it also had something to do with pheromones. def had more lucids when i wasn't indulging as much. a few months later i wondered if masturbating suppressed ld and found the experiment that was done on this site. it appeared to be true and i notice dreaming in general was lessened on days of i jerked it. but i later found it wasn't completely true when i had a few lds on days i had

I managed to do it for one week straight, and then another week. Gotta give it another try though, now that schools back.

I tried this in September, and it went rather well. I only masturbated a few times during the entire month. October hasn't gone as well for me, I've already jerked off twice. I'm posting here for accountability. Every time I relapse, I'll go through the humiliation of admitting it in this thread.

Nope, it is still quite awesome :D I don't refrain to test myself, I know I could do it forever if it was required. I do it for the chemical benefits :) Attempting other challenges might be a good idea though. The no-internet challenge is not an option, because I need it a lot for school.
