Wolf boy was the name given to me by my friends after I had a "bad trip" on LSD. I prefer to think of that trip as a massive catalyst for change and the opening of my closed mind.
I wanted to use Highlander (that i use on some sites) because of the movie. I love the concept about immortals, warriors, swords, Scotland, castles... But that nickname was already in use, so i registered as DreamHighlander, for obvious reasons.

I wanted a nickname that wouldn't give away who I was to someone on here (I usually use one with my cat's name in it) and I decided I was thinking quite hopefully and wishing to lucid so I decided on Wishfulthinker.
Mine's the first letters of each of my names
Astrosomnia = two of my favourite things - "Astro", as in stars, space and the universe, "Somnia" as in dreaming. So, "Space Dreams". Seemed pretty self-explanatory while still sounding badass. Admittedly it's probably my favourite username I've ever had.

My username 'Bemistaken' comes from an awkward situation I have had in the past with a family member. I was telling them about OBE's, sleep atonia (I use to call this sleep paralysis until I joined DV) and lucid dreaming and they would always tell me that I was not experiencing what I was trying to explain. I would tell my grandmother that sometimes when I'm asleep, I will be awaken by "feelings of electrocution and I am unable to move." My grandmother (and others) would always tell me that I was 'mistaking' my experiences as being simply my imagination. I always wondered if this is just my imagination...then why does this continue to happen? My grandmother even went as far as saying that this could be a witch or devil sitting on my chest at night :?. I would always 'be mistaken' as a child with a wild, creative, and adventurous imagination. Since joining DV, now I know that it is not in my imagination or a devil/witch sitting on my chest at night. I have learned to love lucid dreaming and everything that comes with it. If my ability to lucid dream is a mistake...then just call me Bemistaken! :content:

Aristaeus is the name of a lesser-known Greek god. It was also the name of a Greek mathematician whom lived several eons ago. I chose that name for mine character because he is also a maths genius.

it souned pretty and kinda fits me. a moonflower is a flower that only blooms at night or on cloudy days, there is even a particular kind that only blooms once a year. a moonflower also has a powerfully sweet vanilla like scent. so it fits because dreams mainly occur when you are asleep at night or when you are napping during the day, and they have this allure of wonder and mystery much like moonflowers.

When I was going to register myself in some forum back in 2007, I was thiking about a username. I was 10 years old and tried to think of something kinda funny. For some reason I tought of Cookie King and somehow I mashed the two words togheter, modified it a bit and got my username. It's kinda stupid but I started using it for everything and it kinda grew on me.
Wow, that was kinda nostalgic... even tough it wasn't that long ago I guess. So many online memories tied to that name :chuckle:

So I came up with my username in like 3rd grade. At the time I had won 2 school spelling bees, so spellbee2 seemed a logical choice.
I went on to win like 3 times and come in 2nd twice. I was mostly too lazy to come up with anything else, so it's just kind of stuck. But don't ask me to spell stuff, because I suck at it now...

My new username is quite self explanatory it is the name I prefer to go by.
Maria is my middle name and chris is my first and Chrissy is the name I prefer, Maria is fine also, strangely I like to be called other names such as Agatha or Elizabeth but then again I can't make my mind up ever.
It's a name of a snake thing from some anime. Probably misspelled, too.

My name is a reference to the Roger Zelazny novel "The Dream Master" who's original draft was He Who Shapes.
A pretty good novel which is probably the only science fiction novel to ever talk about the theraputic power of dreams(something which is still discussed to this very day).
The name 'JadeGreen' came to me in a short dream fragment I had a few nights before joining. It didn't really mean much, I just like the color green. Truth is I had another account when I was younger, and I abandoned it. I came back to DV about a year later.
Considering how I learned not too long abo that my dream self wears black and has orange and blue eyes, I really wish I could change it. When I was planning on rejoining I actually had a list of usernames and wound up going with JadeGreen.
The other usernames that I almost went by were:

Kuansenhama (A word that so far as I can tell means nothing that I use as a username in many other locations. Also, if I could change it, this is what I would change it to.)

It was 2007, I was 13 and going through a rebellious phase. I had just come to the realization that governments did not have the population's best interest in mind. I realized the idea that we're separate from each other in regards to classifications like race, color, ethnicity and culture was irrelevant, and that borders and nations that we divide ourselves with are just social constructs and ideas I didn't want to be a part of.

My avatar relates directly to some of this. You can’t have shadows or darkness without the concept of light within the normal physical world anyway. I have probably mentioned some of this elsewhere before but I don’t think I’d seen this thread before either.
My username is related to dragons. I had a really weird username everywhere, so my friends made me a new one. I often roleplay as dragons, so they suggested me the name dragon in some nordic language, then I mashed some suggestions together, and there was Draeger. Guess my name doesn't really have an interesting story, but I feel comfortable with it.
