DV. Taking itself too seriously...or not seriously enough?

I didn't get this thread from the beginning and still don't. Taking itself too seriously? What does that mean? Who's taking DV too seriously exactly? The people in it? Are we personifying DV itself? The owner? The admins or mods?

I believe this thread started out as the original poster being bored, and posting a thread without any intention of it going the way it went. I think it is interesting the way this thread went though. It would have been a completely different thread if it had attracted the attention of people who enjoy exchanging cookie recipies and if the staff had ignored it. :)

Whoa, damn, so the DV building and a person I visited, could have been for real, as you say, a thought form, created by minds of DV members. My mind is now boggled. It is all true.

The building may have been real, but the person is now a part of the DV collective.
You are also a piece in the puzzle. So saying you visited a person is like saying you visited your hand, or another part of your body.
There is now no boundary between you and the person you visited.
As with all the members, WE ARE ONE.

I saw this on either a psychadelic trip, or an eppisode of Star Trek.
