INKS - Never tear us apart. :)
Led Zeppelin - All My Love
Dan Fogelberg - Longer
Truly - Lionel Ritchie
Darn good question... I would say... perhaps Jimi Hendrix. With some song about luv ^___^ <<3
If and when I get married, my wedding song will be Won't Get Fooled Again by The Who.
Not some Pink Floyd song that would have your potential bride running down the aisle faster than she could scream "divorce!?" - yeah, good choice.Quote:

if i got married it would have to be The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers theme song. cause I keep it real.
the song
((ugh i just realised i was supposed to be married to reply...i guess im kinda married in a way...))
We were married outside. A friend of mine played some guitar... it was classical, but I don't even remember what it was now!
I just asked my wife what she would choose for a wedding song, and she's stumped. Our daughter suggests the Beatles' "All Together Now".
I'd pick... Mahavishnu Orchestra's "A Love Supreme".
Here,s an interesting bit of Trivia.
So many couples have chosen the 80,s song from the Police for their wedding ,"every breath you take" not realising that the song is about a stalker.
Every breath you take every move you make I,ll be watching you.
Well, I'm not married, but when... *oops* IF I do get married, and IF I manage to convince my betrothed to allow me to choose the song (in itself an admirable accoumplisment), what song would I have? Easy!!!!
Tchaikovsky's 1812 (With real cannons firing red roses and white lillies. Like, gunpowder and everything. It's probably turn the roses into mulch, but hey, what the hell... It's crazy russian cannons!!!) And the dudes firing the cannons would be wearing beefeater hats and playing trumpets.
I like that better than my choice!
At my wedding, I played the piano and sang "You're the Inspiration" by Chicago.
I also did "The Best of Times" by Styx at a friend's wedding.
That would be the coolest wedding ever. Period. Force everyone to dress up as power-ranger characters. : )Quote:

Wow. This is cool to see all the different tastes in music.
I would like to come to your wedding B Meanie. What a shindig!
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE("Fly by night")</div>I am sure there are a ton of songs we may not know the artists perspective.Quote:

I know Burn's song, All of my love, by led Zeppelin was wrote for a son he had lost. :(
**Anyway. It is what it means to the two of you that counts! Right?
That's a good idea for a funeral. At mine, I think I'll want the 1812 Overture to be played, while I get put into a coffin packed with gunpowder, and catapulted into a Hawaiian volcano. No mourning allowed!
Ah, see? I didn't even know that! We just knew that we wanted a Zeppelin song for our first dance, and All My Love seemed like one we could slow dance to decently.
There's so many songs out there that you think mean one thing, but it really means something completely different!
Our Wedding song was I Don't Want to Miss a Thing - Aerosmith
Incubus - Take Me To Your Leader
Flavor of the Week- American Hi-Fi
Hahaha, just kidding. I would be serious and choose either, The Lengths- The Black Keys, or I Really Like You- The Lovely Feathers- only if her name was Alexandra though.
You would do something like that. ;) I think it'd be an awesome wedding song, especially as you're leaving the ceremony/reception.
If I had to choose, though, my song would have to be "Just the Way You Look Tonight" and I think I'd choose the Frank Sinatra version, but I need to go back and make sure that it's his. And I want my future husband to sing it to me. I don't care if he can't sing well; he's just better buck up and get it out... I'm sure daddy will convince him :bigteeth:
(And Ne-Yo... nice sig. Looks like we're taking over.)
(And Kaniaz, you've done it again.)
Simply Red - Beside you.
Because all the truly great love songs are stained with memories of people I'll never marry and who weren't worth the songs.
my wife would choose the song (most probably)
though I like Bolly wood ...
The Power Rangers Theme
No, but seriously... at the moment i'd go with ~ Tom Waits - Shiver Me Timbers
I Love Tom Waites
Dead or alive - You spin me (like a record)
let's never stop falling in love by pink martini
I want someone (perhaps a friend of mine in the future) to play Beethoven's "Pathetique" Piano Sonata, 2nd movement.
Or Chopin's nocturne #2 in Eb
mine would have to be Oasis : Wonderwall...
I would want the wedding singer from Frank the Tank's reception from the movie Old School to perform his rendition of 'Total Eclipse of the Heart.'
"...And I need you now tonight. I fuckin' need you more than ever..."
Sir Mix-A-Lot; Baby Got Back
I think that as I was waking up on my wedding day or sometime that morning I would be singing (loudly... or else it sounds bad) Etta James's "At Last."
(Although I'd probably be singing that before the wedding, too.)
Our DJ was a complete ass. Our wedding was one of a dream. He was the only bad DC/DJ.
The F*$#@^G retard played our wedding song, Never Tear us Apart and proceeded to cut in 3/4 of the way in to invite the wedding party.
That was OUR song!!!!!!!!! Well that is not bad if that is the only complaint I have.
I must say not too many people have songs I know too well. :P
I would have to say "Through My Words" by Dream Theatre.
Aw that sucks - but if that's the worst thing that happened all day, then that's good!
Our DJ was frickin' awesome - the best DJ I've ever heard at ANY wedding I've ever been to. Maybe I'm being a little biased, but everyone thought he did a fantastic job too. I made it clear ahead of time that our favorite music is classic rock, and we didn't want ANY rap, no macarena, no YMCA, and no chicken dance. The dance floor was packed all night and everyone had a great time. I think the difference between a really fun reception and a so-so one is the music, hands down. Makes all the difference! :tunes:
Massive Attack - Protection
It's a song about true love
makes me all warm and fuzzy everytime I hear it
Quote:
Sometimes you look so small, need some shelter
Just runnin' round and round, helter skelter
And I've leaned on you for years
Now you can lean on me
And that's more than love, that's the way It should be
Now I can't change the way you think
But I can put my arms around you
That's just part of the deal
That's the way I feel
I put my arms around you
I stand in front of you
I'll take the force of the blow
Protection[/b]

I got married to "Golden Years" By David Bowie.
