Actor Heath Ledger found dead
-
Shame. He was a good actor.

Good thing they finished principle photography for Dark Knight.
What? Too soon?

What despicable member would threaten someone like him?
-
-
I only saw him in "A Knight's Tale" and the updated version of Taming of the Shrew ("How to lose a guy in 10 days"?).
He was good, even if the film's themselves weren't amazing.
Nah, I think a few hours since death is enough time.

-
this is so sad. i liked him, esp in brokeback mountain
-
Holy shit...is this for real??? I can't believe it. I really loved him. Especially in A Knight's Tale. That's one of my favorite movies. This is surreal. :( Drug overdose??
-
It's a sad reminder that we really don't know the people behind the celebrity. Even the prettiest, shiniest little Hollywood face can end up overdosed and deaded.
-
Sad...but at least they finished Dark Knight first.

John Chaucer was played well, wasn't he.

Never heard of Heath Ledger until this thread.

truly!

Yikes... That's a true shame.
Though it's probably not the best testament to my character that the first thought through my head was, "But what about Dark Knight?!"
-
sucks. i liked knights tale and the order.
-
Someone at work told me. I almost cried. I loved that guy. This is really quite surreal for me.
28 years old, too.
-
Thats pretty darn sad. He was a pretty cool actor as well, i liked him in A Knights Tale.
I really don't know what to say other than this, its quite saddening actually to see someone of that age end up dead.
-
Yes, bad news indeed. Knight's Tale was funny :) I used to watch Heath Ledger in a TV Series called Roar about somekind of Scottish Tribal Prince or sommat, it was on pretty late at night, thats where I first saw him, was a good show :)

Westboro baptist church.
I'm just showing how disgusting they are and it's relevant to this.
I don't think you would have had any problem with it had i said "Yeah, and WBC are going to picket his funeral apparently for "Brokeback Mountain", I hate them"
I considered a new thread for it but I thought it uneccessary.

I wouldn't have appreciated that posting no matter how you had worded it. I just don't think it was necessary to give such people and their views any space in this thread.. simply out of respect for Heath Ledger, his family and his fans.

Delete it then if you want.

Unfortunately Dream Guides don't have the power to delete or edit in off-topic forums. I believe you can edit your post if you wish to.

He was good in Brokeback Mountain. I went to see that as a first date. Yeah, it was a bit awkward....

Good for you for being man enough to take a date to that film. ;)

From what I've heard so far, it sounds like he accidentally overdosed on sleeping pills. He had always had trouble getting to sleep at night, and used sleeping pills on a regular basis. Well once you start taking them, you build up a tolerance and have to take bigger and bigger doses to achieve the same effect. So he probably was trying to get some sleep and accidentally took too much. :( Preliminary thoughts of cause of death was cardiac arrest, which would fit if this is indeed what happened. No one is suspecting suicide or foul play.
I was really shocked by this news. I really liked him in Patriot (the one with Mel Gibson). Plus, he had that Batman movie coming out too... What an awful and tragic accident. I feel for his family and his daughter.

That's good to hear it probably wasn't suicide. The dark knight premiere in Hollywood will be awkward.
-
There was a shitload of talking about this in school today, and on the Today show.
Why must the good die young? Lincoln, MLK, Kennedy, Jimi Hendrix, who's next?

Sure will.
CNN said they have next to no information about the cause of death. Drugs overdose seems to be the word on the street though.
This vaguely motivates me to go see Brokeback Mountain at last. I meant to see it, but never got around to it. That was what he got the Oscar for, no?
-
I haven't yet bought the story that it was a drug overdose, unless accidentally taking too many sleeping pills is considered a drug overdose? Anyway, I don't recall ever reading anything about him being on actual drugs of any kind... unlike everyone else. Especially females. Gah, what the heck is going on with them. :P Now I'm rambling about other stuff, whoops.

Pills are 'actual' drugs, even sleeping pills ;)
And yes, you can accidentally overdose. Most over doses aren't on purpose.

:P By "actual," I mean like the drugs that are looked down upon in society.
But anyway, it being "accidental" makes me even more sad, in a weird way. :(

Haven't you heard? Pills are the new 'in' drug. Srsly.
And by that I mean, they are looked down upon by society. :P

You know what I mean!! :P *runs around in circles and jumps out the nearest window*
NOW look what you've done.

Ledger's death is another example of God's wrath against the cowboy queers.

Actually, I think it was Batman who did him in.

Funny how this story has no effect passed the Poutine Curtain. You guys are all taking it so seriously .

I would reply deeper but I know it would be futile to go there. :P
