OMFG!!!!!! Bush has just won! How long do ya think we'll have to live? i don't wanna die!!! *mass havoc is caused*
You guys are being silly. The Prez is just a figure head anyway. It is all of the major corporations will all of the money that are running the world anyway.
that's true Seeker, but if anything, this past 4 years have taught us how much damage some random bloke can cause. He may just be the head figure, but then again, you can always ask that to all the people that died in Iraq... :?
This is not the end of the world(I hope) but it sure isn't a good thing, and I am appalled that so many people could vote for Bush considering his performance. I guess people like their guns, and don't want to have a gay couple move next to them and corrupt their american dream. Maybe they like sending off their children to a war that never should have been. I don't know. All I know is that Iraq alone was reason for Bush to never see any sort of power again.
It seems like a lot of people disagree with you. For everyone who thinks bush is so horrible, maybe you should take a closer look at why you think that.
I'll take freedom for Iraqis and national security over giving our autonomous nation over to the UN. I'm not saying I like everything that Bush does, but in my opinion he does a fair enough job. (No flames, because I won't reply to them)
As I heard a soldier in Iraq say on the news this morning, he perferred the idea of the war going on now and getting over sooner than going back 10 years from now for another problem. Just my opinion.

I agree, there will be no draft. An all volunteer army is the way to go! I wouldn't want a disgruntled draftee watching MY back!Quote:

You as well should take a closer look at the nation. In case you had not noticed, America is an extremely divided nation. Bush did not win by a land-slide, but by a pretty razor thin margin. That is said to be one of the reasons given for Kerry conceding: They could have fought it and waiting for the rest of Ohio's ballots to be counted and all of this other stuff, but that would just even further divide the nation. Someone from Kerry staff was quoted as saying something like that Kerry did not want to further divide and already extremely divided nation.Quote:

Hopefully Bush gets the same message, that was pretty clear - and that many knew before, but that certain politicians chose to ignore - that America is not united, but extremely divided. Will be hard to ignore that now.
lol paperdoll, with that sig you'll be shot here... run! ;)
This is going to come off sounding like a flame. I apologize for that. It isn't directed towards you; just your values towards the war.
More then half the country not being able to vote, insurgents and fighting within the streets for control of the unstable government, 1122 United States men and women dead since 'Mission Accomplished', 660 since the capture of Saddam, and 138 others from the collition who have died.Quote:
I'll take freedom for Iraqis[/b]
This is why Christianity is such a terrible concept. You believe that when a person dies they are transported to an afterlife. You give away the lives of others because of this faulty idea. Not believing in God or an afterlife gives you a new perspective; that each life is important. To throw them away for a cause that wont benefit the world upsets me, and it should also upset you. But for a reason that I have not been able to figure out yet, Christians and conservatives don't seem to care that real lives are being cut short over there. Estimates that a range from 10,000 to 30,000 Iraqis have died since the war began don't seem to phase you. Maybe you don't consider them to be people?Quote:
God loves me!... and you![/b]
At any rate, you seem to have been taken by the political spin put on the war. If you recall, the war began as a search for weapons of mass destruction. This is a cause worthy of support, and, of course, had my backing. However, none being found, the agenda for the war abrubtly changed from a hunt for destructive explosives to a war 'for freedom'. A laughable notion. The country was better off before and probably wont recover for some time to come - if ever.
Death in the name of democracy. Can anyone make an analgous connection between this and the crusades? I sure can.
Which network? One of the ones owned by conservative Republicans? Wait, they all are owned by conservative Republicans.Quote:

This isn't to say that Kerry would have been able to get us out of the current terrible situation, but a fresh outlook was what we needed most.
this female president?????????Quote:

If the countrys screwed to you, LEAVE. :shakehead2: *ish a bush support and is really tired of hearing this nonscence*
I was saying we'd be screwed either way.
If Kerry had been elected and not Bush, then the U.S. would be seen as weak in the international arena, and we definitely don't want that right now. (You know, cause of the terrorists and all) What I do know, however, is that if Bush hadn't pissed so many people off during the last term, Kerry would have had better ground to stand on in terms of foreign policy.
However, since Bush has been re-elected now, the U.S. is still screwed. Mainly because of foregin policy again. Irasel right now is just wanting a reason to attack Iran, but it won't without backing from the U.S.
Guess who's gonna give it? Bush. That means Iran will feel threatened as crap now and will desperately try to deter a war. That either means they'll go nuclear, or they'll send missles straight to Iraseli cities. (Not Jerusalem though) This will make everyone around angry. Allies will be pulled in, America will be forced to support Israel... Boom, World War III.
Now of course those are just worse case scenarios and I really really hope that none of it is actually going to happen. But seeing the instability in the Middle East, anything could happen.
What I can guarantee though, is that American soldiers will keep dying in Iraq, if not elsewhere. (If you noticed Bush has held up on attacks in Iraq until after the election to avoid casualties that could potentially take votes away from him)
And I do know that the deficit will continue to soar, probably causing a lot of economical problems until some kind of policy kicks in.
And I do know that since Bush doesn't need to worry about re-election again, he may pull some weird stuff in the Middle East. I just hope it won't kill us all.

Oh yeah, have you guys noticed? We now have not just a conservative president, but a senate and house as well. Now that's scary.
